I wasn’t kidding when I said we were on a Naruto themed week.
If you missed the last article, I also wrote a workout plan for Naruto Uzumaki himself!
In his article I mention the fact that we’ve obviously already seen a good handful of anime characters already.
I list characters like Goku, Vegeta (and a ton of other DBZ characters), All Might, One Punch Man, and more.
But, if we want to list some women, we’ve also seen Kale, Kefla, Alita, Natsuo Ishidō, Ezra Scarlet, and Mikasa Ackerman!
And now here we are with another highly requested female for the site.
Tsunade Stats:
Height: 5’4
Weight: 108 lbs
Real Name: Tsunade
Powers: Yes
Tsunade is actually taller than I thought she would be.
Not tall among other women characters we’ve seen, and right around the range of other anime character’s we’ve seen.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero!

Tsunade Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like The Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!

Tsunade Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
This is where I get to break down the “how” and “why” of the workout we’re going to build based on the characters, in this case Tsunade’s, powers and/or abilities.
At first glance at Tsunade you might think we should scale her workout from Naruto’s.
Her Wiki Fandom tell us:
Tsunade is hailed as the world’s greatest medical-nin, able to identify ailments at a glance and treat conditions that other medical-nin deem impossible to cure. Her skills are enough that Orochimaru believed she could reverse the necrosis-like effects of the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, heal the psychological damage of Tsukuyomi, fix the damage to Rock Lee’s spine when he was deemed a helpless case and counteract the effects of the Three Coloured Pills with instructions from the Nara Clan Medical Encyclopaedia.
Which is definitely information we want to know about our characters. But there’s much more.
We also want to know about her physical strength.
So I went to Quora again like I did with Naruto to find out some more information for us:
Madara has stated she is the strongest of the 5 kage, at least physically. Tsunade has been shown to sever the ground beneath herself and wield enormous sword with ease. She has also been shown to punch people very far away. We cannot even observe an instance where she was overpowered minus Madara and presumably Hanzo. However, in both instances the latter was using more than just physical strength to overwhelm her. Overall Tsunade has the best strength feats after Naruto himself, Jiraya and just a few others.
Which is why I’ve come to the conclusion that he training model doesn’t need scaling down at all.
Tsunade’s training should be like Naruto’s if we’re looking to become them.

Tsunade Workout Routine
Training Volume:
6 days a week
Explanation:
We’ll be mixing mixed martial arts training with bodyweight training and cardiovascular endurance training 6 days a week. While she might decide to do 7 days a week of training – we still need to realize we need to rest…as normal humans must do!
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & tradition pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
Mixed Martial Arts Training:
When mixed martial arts training is listed you can choose one program for that day and do one MMA focused training day from it, or you can swap the entire week programming in to add to this bodyweight style program – but you will have to pick and choose here and there in order to keep up with the volume of the training.
Ideal Scenario:
Ideally you will want to fit your bodyweight training in either within your MMA training, or throughout the day on top of it. The varied cardio is so that all fitness levels can try this program. I recommend going at a mid level intensity, but feel free to scale the cardio AND the bodyweight training as well.
