It’s time for some more Hunter x Hunter!
Not only are we adding to our Hunter x Hunter characters, but we’re also building up on one of the strongest anime characters of all time!
Spoiler Alert: Isaac Netero is likely going to be making one of those lists.
At first our Hunter x Hunter characters started off with just our Gon Workout and Killua Workout before recently moving onto our Hisoka Workout after tons of requests!
And while I know there are A LOT of other hunters out there that you guys are wanting to see at SHJ, I decided the best place to continue was none other than one of the strongest there ever was, and 12th Chairman of The Hunter Association!
Either way he’s going to make a great addition to our Anime Workouts Database!
Isaac Netero Stats:
Real Name: Isaac Netero
Height: 5’3
Weight: N/A
Anime: Hunter x Hunter
Powers: Yes
Isaac Netero is around 5’3.
This isn’t an exact height given by the show, but rather based on a height chart compared to tons and tons of other characters with fan help.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Isaac Netero Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Isaac Netero Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started I want to lead off with a bit of background information on Isaac Netero.
If you guys have seen Hunter x Hunter already you already know just how powerful he is, but I’ll do my best to provide a good introduction nevertheless.
Netero’s Wiki Fandom page starts us off with this:
Isaac Netero was the 12th Chairman of the Hunter Association, and the Head of the Exam Commission. In his youth, he was extolled as the most powerful Nen user in the world, and retained dreadful strength even in his old age.
The first time we get to see some of this “dreadful” strength is in the scene pictured above with Netero holding the ball.
He shows off insane abilities while going up against both Gon and Killua at the same time.
If we move on within his Wiki Fandom they tell us A LOT about his powers and abilities, starting with an intro that is quite in depth:
Isaac Netero had the greatest authority in the Hunter Association due to his status as the chairman. In his youth, he was revered as the most powerful Nen user in the world. Although the survival rate of the official expeditions to the Dark Continent is a mere 0.04%, Netero set foot on it twice and returned alive and with no signs of lasting injury both times. with Morel asserting that if Netero cannot defeat an opponent, then no one in the entire Hunter Association can. To this, the chairman objected that in his old age his strength was half what it used to be, putting himself on Morel and Knov’s level; however, the sincerity of his statement is dubious, with Knov stating he is prone to exaggerating and that he is still much more powerful than the two of them. While fighting the Chimera Ants, the Chairman remarked that he was getting his strength back, possibly suggesting that he bridged at least part of the gap. Netero displayed incredible strength and stamina for his age, shown when he made a 60-foot free-fall jump from the Judging Committee’s blimp without a parachute and landed without incurring any harm. He is also a very powerful hand-to-hand combatant, capable of unleashing punches which far exceed the speed of sound. Furthermore, he is extremely knowledgeable in martial arts, recognizing Killua’s Rhythm Echo at a glance.
They go on to list a ton of information about each individual one of his abilities before eventually also telling us about “Nen”, which we saw them make mention to in his bio.
Here’s a list of his abilities, albeit broken down into just a simple list format:
- Immense Strength
- Unfathomable Speed and Reflexes
- Immense Agility
- Immense Stamina
- Enhanced Durability
- Immense Endurance
- Muscle Control
- Genius-Level Intellect
- Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant
Yes, Isaac Netero can essentially do it all.
We have our work cut out for us with this one.
But, before we get on with that work I do want to share with you just how his Wiki Fandom explains his specific power in Nen (which they explain Nen as: “It is a technique that allows a living being to use and manipulate their own life energy (known as aura).”:
Netero is an extremely powerful practitioner of Nen, holding the title of the most powerful Nen master in his prime. Although Morel keeps regarding him as unmatched within the Hunter Association, and Knov acknowledged he is still far above the two of them, Netero stated that his time at the top has passed.
Netero is strong. There’s no denying it.
So we’re going to be training with a super diverse program to do our best to get on his level.

Isaac Netero Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5+ days per week
Explanation:
The main focus of our programming is going to be strength, endurance, and agility. For that reason we’ll be starting each three days a week with strength, and ending each of those with high intensity for both stamina/endurance and agility. On top of that we’ll have two days devoted entirely to endurance training that will also work in strength work as a secondary goal.

The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
