Moving back into some awesome Fullmetal Alchemist Inspired Workouts this week we’re going to lead in with Lust.
Lust came in at number ten among our most popular FMA characters and number nine among our most powerful Fullmetal Alchemist characters.
So CLEARLY she deserves a spot here among our other awesome characters inside our Anime Workouts Database.
And it’s always nice when we’re able to have some badass females join our databases – and FMA is pretty damn good with their powerful female characters.
This will also make Lust super fun to have added to our Workout Placement Quizzes as well.

Height: 5’5 (Guesstimate)
Weight: N/A
Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist
Powers: Yes
Lust is shown standing in at around 5’5 if we based it on a full height chart among characters.
At that range she would be considered to be right around average height among both female characters and female celebs.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Lust Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Lust Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Lust and her powers we’re going to be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s how they lead us off:
Lust is the embodiment of Father’s lust who is mildly flirtatious, but she serves mostly as an object of lust for others, feeding their desires so that she could fulfill her duties to Father. She was usually partnered with Gluttony to whom she appears to have a particular (almost motherly) closeness.
This tells about about her character and goes into a bit of her background, but what will really help us build this one out is her powers and abilities section.
For that they dive right into a full list for us. Here’s what they say:
- Immortality: Lust does not age beyond her youthful prime.
- Contaminant Immunity: Lust is immune to all poisons, toxins, venoms, viruses, bacteria, allergen, diseases, etc.
- Self-Sustenance: Lust does not need to eat, drink, or breathe to stay alive.
- Enhanced Physiology: Lust possesses strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, durability, senses, agility, coordination, willpower, intelligence, and instincts superior to any human, chimera, or animal.
- Rapid regeneration: Due to being a homunculus, any injuries which Lust suffers immediately heal, even if she is decapitated, disintegrated, blown up, or completely incinerated, she will still return to life in perfect condition. With this ability, she was able to almost instantly regenerate from bullet wounds caused by small rounds, and within minutes able to completely regenerate from a devastating explosion caused by Roy Mustang’s alchemy. Possibly the best example was her ability to completely regenerate from just her Philosopher’s Stone alone, for as long as it was intact she was able to come back to life. If her Philosopher’s Stone is pulled out, her body will crumble into dust. However, like the other Homunculi, she was incapable of regenerating indefinitely and eventually ran out of souls to draw power from, which resulted in her eventual death.
- Ultimate Spear: Lust’s unique ability was to extend her fingertips into long, flexible, and thin claws sharp enough to cut through practically any substance with ease, earning her the nickname “Ultimate Spear” among her Homunculus peers. The length of these blades is also undetermined and seemingly infinite in their range, leading to Lust being able to kill her opponents at any distance with ease. Also adding to their lethality is the speed at which she can extend and retract them, such as when she of pierced Father Cornello’s skull, the extension, and retraction occurring without their movement being seen. However, they are not completely unstoppable, such as Alphonse being quick enough to intercept them and the thickness of his armor slowing their extension to a near halt (despite still piercing his armor completely).
- Enhanced Beauty: Lust possesses a level of physical attractiveness, above that of most women. Using her enticing looks, she plays the role of a manipulator within the Homunculi ranks, moving covertly around the country to lure weak-willed people (usually vain people who are also associated with the State alchemists) into the clutches of their own lust, to be used and disposed of when no longer needed.
Clearly she has a lot of abilities and is very powerful, but we’re going to want to pull out portions of this that we can use to help build a routine.
For example: this workout will NOT make you immortal…
What we can focus on is her enhanced physiology, which gives her enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, durability, senses, agility, coordination, willpower, intelligence, and instincts superior to any human, chimera, or animal.
Now those sound like things I want!
For this one we’re going to be training with weights to build up to her enhanced strength and speed but I’ll also be tacking on some endurance training to work around that enhanced stamina as well.
So be ready for some weight training and a bit of volume to build up to this powerful FMA villain.

For this one we’ll be training around 3 days of full body work to increase our strength and speed while building that Lust aesthetic we discussed – and then another 2 days devoted to a circuit test and endurance work.

In a perfect world our Academy members or 90 Day System members will use this day to work in our Benchmark Workouts to continue testing and improving scores and tracking them against other members; especially our SHJ Core Benchmarks (although our Hero Benchmarks are just as awesome).
If you are not an Academy member or you don’t have access to a 90 Day System, you can also sub in different circuits here from some of the HIIT resources I provide.

Lust Workout Routine: Enhanced Endurance Training
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
Option One – Run Based on Overall Fitness Level:
Beginner: 1-3 Miles
Intermediate: 3-5 Miles
Advanced: 5+ Miles
