After the recent release of another Chainsaw Man trailer you guys in The SHJ Army are going nuts and want more characters NOW!
So here we are adding onto what we started with our Denji Inspired Workout.
I even went ahead and added a Chainsaw Man Inspired Workouts section within our larger Anime Workout Database because I know you guys are going to want it filled up quickly.
I’m also really happy that we’re going to have not only two main characters of the opposite sex, but both that come in as fan favorites that are extremely strong!
Although this probably is one of the first times we kick off a new mini database with the male character having a calisthenics workout and a female character having a weight training routine.
And if that wasn’t clear, for this one we’ll be working with weights; but if you want to role with bodyweight training you can jump over to Denji’s workout!
Makima Stats:
Real Name: Makima
Height: 5’3
Weight: N/A
Anime: Chainsaw Man
Powers: Yes
Makima comes in at 5’3 which puts her at what we’d consider below average height across the board.
That’s comparing her to female anime characters, superheroes and even celebrities we’ve seen at SHJ.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Makima Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Makima Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Makima we’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page, which starts us with this bio section here:
Makima is a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter, who took Denji as her human pet. She is later revealed to be the Control Devil which embodies the fear of control or conquest. She is the main antagonist of the Public Safety Saga.
From there we can eventually move down into her abilities, which will really give us an idea of what we’re working with.
Her Wiki Fandom even starts by giving us an overall abilities section, which they state this for:
Makima is one of the strongest individuals in the world of the Chainsaw Man thanks to her physical and supernatural abilities as a devil, along with her cunning and manipulative personality. She is feared by humans, fiends and devils all around the world, which also increased her powers as a devil. According the President of the United States, other countries beside America already given up to fight against her.
Yes, you read that right: we’re dealing with “one of the strongest individuals in the world of Chainsaw Man”!
When we move down into her physical abilities we learn about her enhanced smell, but, more importantly, we also learn about her immense strength:
Immense Strength: Makima possesses a great deal of physical strength allowing her to fight effectively in hand-to-hand combat without relying on any of her subordinates. Her strength was great enough to overwhelm Pochita and shatter his chainsaws with her strikes.
Enhanced Smell: According to Denji, Makima primarily differentiates others through smell. In their first encounter, she was able to detect that Pochita still existed within Denji through his scent.
From there we can also learn about her Supernatural Abilities, but I won’t be giving every single detail because it’s a LONG list.
Here’s how they start:
Domination: As she embodies the fear of control or conquest/domination, her abilities reflects this nature. Besides her manipulative way of thinking and acting, she is able to control any being who she believes is inferior to her, even being able to force them into making contracts with her or another devil. It seems as though once placed under her control, the victim subsequently loses their memory. This ability works on humans, animals, devils, fiends and hybrids. She can channel the power of her victims by summoning them through a chain connected to her body. It has been shown that she can use the abilities of Angel Devil, Future Devil, Snake Devil, Punishment Devil, Spider Devil and Zombie Devil. Even deceased individuals can be controlled in this manner. Makima was able to form a squad of weapon hybrids, three of which (Reze, Quanxi, and Katana Man) were former enemies who now behaved affectionately towards her. This suggests Makima can control individuals outright as well as changing their personalities in subtle ways.
From there they also talk about her Contract Creation, Blood Consumption, and Revival:
Contract Creation: As a devil, the Control Devil can bestow contracts upon humans for a price. Thanks to her ability to control humans, she can force them to make a contract with herself. The Control Devil has a contract with the Prime Minister of Japan in exchange of working for Japan.
Blood Consumption: As a devil, the Control Devil should be able to restore its health by consuming blood. However, she does not need to consume blood to regenerate due to her contract with the Prime Minister which allowed her to regenerate and avoid death several times.
Revival: As a devil, the Control Devil will revive in Hell after being killed effectively making it immortal. After she has been eaten by Denji, she returned to Hell and subsequently reincarnated in China as Nayuta.
So it’s pretty obvious what we’ll be working on, but I’ll still break it down.
Our goals for our Makima Inspired Workout are:
- Makima’s Immense Strength
- Makima’s Speed and Endurance
- Makima’s Lean and Toned Aesthetic
The main focus will be her strength paired with a cosplay-oriented routine – so I’ll be building it out around an intermediate level, but it will also be super scalable for anyone to be able to jump in and utilize it.
On top of that you can also decide to start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout if you’d like to eventually work up to this one.
