Erica Slaughter is a character I’ve been eyeing at bringing onto SHJ to join our Superhero Inspired Workouts (where all our comic book characters end up) for a while now.
She joins the same universe as characters like John Constantine and Hellboy and is a super fun addition to some of the female characters we have on the site.
The comic began publishing in 2019 and it has been announced that we will be getting a Someone Is Killing The Children Horror TV series on Netflix as well!
So, obviously, we like to be ahead of the game, and Erica Slaughter is the incredible character who gets the first slot.
Erica Slaughter Stats:
Real Name: Erica Slaughter
Height: 5’2
Weight: 132 lbs.
Comic: Someone Is Killing The Children
Powers: No
Erica Slaughter is actually very short, almost a foot and a half under what we’d consider a behemoth among characters within our Anime Workouts Database, but very lean and toned.
She has a very slim and toned aesthetic and incredible mobility that we’ll be breaking down into much more depth below.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Erica Slaughter Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Erica Slaughter Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Erica Slaughter I’ll be pulling from multiple different Wiki Fandom pages, starting with her bio section from her comic book fandom:
Erica Slaughter is a monster hunter who was taken in by the House of Slaughter when she was 12 and trained to kill monsters after her parents and friend were killed. However, she has denounced all ties with the Order of St. George and operates as a renegade.
They don’t have much more information for us there, but if you do want to learn more about the comics you can use that page to go through specific issues link by link as they’re laid out for you.
If we move over into his ComicVine breakdown they give us a snippet about her powers and abilities here:
Erica is a well-trained monster hunter. She is able to track and has keen deductive reasoning. She is handy with most bladed weapons and is an Olympic-level athlete. She also underwent the Rite of Trepanation, which allows her to continue seeing monsters, which only those under 18 years old can.
This gives us a better idea of what we’ll need to be training around.
We won’t be looking to become a weapons master, but we are going to want to strength, agility, and mobility of an Olympic-level athlete that is capable of hunting monsters at her petite size.
When we jump back to her origin story we can learn a bit more about her training here:
When she was 12 years old, Erica saw a monster that no one else seemed to be able to see. It killed her best friend, Becca, during a sleepover and then it eventually went after Erica’s parents. After it had killed her mom and dad, she found the courage to attack it. She managed to hurt the monster pretty badly but was unable to kill it. Thankfully, Jessica Slaughter, a monster hunter for The Order of St. George, saved her. She captured the monster and trapped it in Erica’s favorite stuffed animal, Octo. Impressed by her tenacity, Jessica promised to train Erica at The House of Slaughter so that she could hunt monsters, just like Jessica does.
Although, Jesscia was chastised for bringing in a “stray” like Erica, she was still allowed to go to the farm and train to be a monster hunter. To prove herself, she is put into a shared dreamspace with the monster inside Octo. It tempted her to run away in fear or reveal the secret that monsters exist. By sticking to her guns and remembering the events as they played out rather than how she wished they did, she proved everyone wrong by surviving the experience.
This will essentially be our variation of her House of Slaughter training.
That means the goals for our Erica Slaughter Inspired Workout are:
- Erica Slaughter’s Slim Petite and Toned Aesthetic
- Erica Slaughter’s Strength, Speed and Agility
- Erica Slaughter’s Mobility and Acrobatic Abilities
This one will be a bit intense, and we’ll even be adding in some training aspects that we’ve learned from some gymnasts that are actually Olympic athletes, so be prepared for some high volume and scaling as well.
If it seems a bit too hard to jump right into you can also start with our Beginner Speedster Workout or even our Beginner Ninja Workout, but any of our Beginner Workouts are great.

Erica Slaughter Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
For this one we’re going to be working around 3 days of high volume calisthenics and acrobat training (using a split I reserve specifically for Olympic level athletes and/or acrobats), mixing in what we’ve learned from research on actual Olympic level gymnasts and even acrobats, and then we’ll also have a day devoted to hero endurance and one final day for you to test your skills either weekly or biweekly on a Weapon Master Circuit Test (which will also be sticking to calisthenics and endurance work).
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
