Our Dragon Ball Z Inspired Workouts Database just keeps growing.
DBZ was our first anime to get it’s own mini-workout database within our larger Anime Workouts Database, and it just hasn’t slowed down.
Following DBZ we’ve had My Hero Academia, Naruto and Avatar: The Last Airbender, but Dragon Ball Z continues proving that our SHJ Army wants more and more.
But, it’s perfect considering it allows us to also get awesome Dragon Ball listicles like The Most Powerful Dragon Ball Characters Ever, and soon to be the most popular!
Goten Stats:
Real Name: Goten
Height: 4’0
Weight: 57 lbs.
Anime: Dragon Ball Z
Powers: Yes
Being that we’re working with Goten as a child: he’s technically among the shortest male characters we’ve ever seen.
But, there’s a reason behind the madness, and it’s mainly because I want to work around Goten’s character that we’re most used to seeing him as.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Goten Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Goten Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started we’ll be pulling right from Goten’s Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they tell us about his quick intro bio:
Son Goten is the youngest son of Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, making him a Saiyan and Earthling hybrid. Goten is Gohan’s younger brother and Trunks’ best friend.
So not much for us to go on, but it is important for us to note that Goten is technically only HALF Saiyan.
I would also like to make another important point: while we are building this routine around Goten as a child, this is NOT a routine for a child. The point is that we’re going to use his power level as a child to build out a routine so that it’s at more of a beginner-intermediate level than a super over-powered Saiyan like his father.
Here’s what Goten’s Wiki tells us about his power level:
During his childhood, Goten was quite powerful, to the extent where he attained his Super Saiyan transformation much earlier than his brother and father. Goten’s strength as a Super Saiyan was such that when he sparred with a Super Saiyan Gohan, he was able to give the latter a little trouble, with an astonished Gohan remarking just how strong the boy was. Later on, Piccolo was also taken aback at Goten and Trunks power when witnessing them turning Super Saiyan.
They even go on to tell us a lot more.
Here’s what they say about his growing power level throughout the series:
In Dragon Ball GT, by the Baby Saga Goten has grown more powerful. When Baby attacks the Earth, he is strong enough to take him on, though even when Goten used a Kamehameha he was unable to eliminate Baby – allowing the Tuffle to take over his body. Super Saiyan Baby Goten is able to fight on par with base Gohan, and forces him to turn Super Saiyan by powering up and using an explosive wave. Super Saiyan Infected Gohan is at a disadvantage against base Goku and is beaten back. In the English dub It is noted by Baby Vegeta that Uub is more powerful than the Infected Gohan, Goten and Trunks combined.
In the Super 17 Saga, in his base form, Goten is able to easily dodge Pui Pui’s energy blasts and defeats him with a single kick, however he is caught off guard immediately afterward by Yakon and sweats as the Demon Beast towers over him, though he is saved by Trunks he claims he would have been able to take on Yakon by himself. Goten and Trunks together are able to destroy Android 19 by catching him off guard with a combined energy blast.
Goten is strong. That much we know.
They even mention the fact that he was able to obtain Super Saiyan transformation before both Gohan and Goku were able in their young age.
For this we’re going to be progressing into Goten’s power utilizing calisthenics, which is another reason I wanted to be focused in on Goten at an early age.
We’re still going to be training around becoming a Super Saiyan over time, and it’ll be similar to the functionality we’ve seen in our Ultimate Calisthenics Workout and Guide as well.
To make it beginner-intermediate level we’ll mainly be working around calisthenics strength building 3 days a week with some endurance and stamina work built in as well.
Think you can handle it?
