We just saw our Juvia Lockser Inspired Workout and I mentioned the fact that we’ll be breaking into more and more Fairy Tail Inspired Workouts this week.
Well, we’re already back with Wendy Marvell and she’s just the second of four coming in to join our other routines that we’ve already seen.
Our Anime Workouts Database has already been graced with six other routines from Fairy Tail, but they’ve been extremely spreadout, which is different than other shows that end up getting a ton of requests over and over like Dragon Ball Z, Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, My Hero Academia and a few others.
BUT, after this week we’ll have enough to have a mini-workout-database devoted to Fairy Tail Inspired Workouts just like these other shows!

Real Name: Wendy Marvell
Height: 4’8 3/4
Weight: 81.6 lbs.
Anime: Fairy Tail
Wendy Marvell is the shortest female character alongside Caulifla that we’ve seen at SHJ.
She’d also be the shortest compared to celebrities as well (if that wasn’t obvious).
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Wendy Marvell Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Wendy Marvell Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with the research we’ll need to build a workout around Wendy Marvell we’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they give us for her introduction/bio section:
Wendy Marvell is a young female Sky Dragon Slayer. She was one of the orphans chosen to be a Dragon Slayer four hundred years prior to X777, serving as her foster mother’s vessel to travel to X777 through the Eclipse Gate as a part of the plan to exterminate Acnologia. Formerly belonging to the Cait Shelter Guild, she officially joins the Fairy Tail Guild after the events surrounding Nirvana unfold. Following the disbandment of Fairy Tail, Wendy, along with Carla, joined Lamia Scale. Subsequent to the conclusion of the war between Orochi’s Fin and Lamia Scale, Wendy leaves Lamia Scale and helps Natsu resurrect Fairy Tail.
Wendy Marvell isn’t the only dragon slayer we’ll be seeing this week, but she is the first!
Marvell is only 12 years old and is extremely petite, so we won’t be basing this one on her appearance outside of being able to slim down if you guys were to want to cosplay as her!
When we move into her magic and abilities section on her Wiki it’s actually overwhelming!
They lead with her Sky Dragon Slayer Magic, which they describe as:
Sky Dragon Slayer Magic: Wendy is the Sky Dragon Slayer, which means that she has the same type of Magic as Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox, but with the ability to manipulate air. Her Magic also allows her to heal people with the gravest of injuries, even those caused by a Dragon. Her proficiency in healing allows her to use even just a kiss to heal other people and she can counteract other Magic. Her Magic also has support spells, which can increase attack power and speed, to both herself and her others. As stated by Carla, Wendy can eat air, but can’t heal as well in polluted areas. Her Magic also allows her to sense air currents, which can be used to predict the weather.
They go on to list a LONG list of abilities that come with this magic, and then multiple different types of enhancements as well.
From there they also go on to list some powers and abilities she possesses that aren’t directly correlated to the Sky Dragon Slayer Magic:
- Hand-to-Hand Combatant
- Enhanced Durability
- Enhanced Smell
- Enhanced Hearing
- Enhanced Sight
- Enhanced Reflexes
- Enhanced Endurance
Of this list the most important for us is enhanced endurance followed by hand to hand combat which we can add in optionally if you guys wanted to use some extra resources for.
They tell us this about her endurance:
Enhanced Endurance: Wendy, despite her frail build, possesses great physical stamina. She has been shown, various times, using numerous Sky Dragon Slayer Magic spells in quick succession, showing little to no fatigue afterwards, best exemplified throughout her battle with Sherria during the Grand Magic Games. Wendy used powerful techniques, sustaining multiple injuries after each successive attack, while still mustering the strength to perform a Sky Dragon Slayer’s Secret Art, and, in the end, still having the strength to draw with said opponent, if only through hand-to-hand combat.
For that reason we’ll actually be building out and endurance training regime to not only slim down for cosplay style training, but also work around building up our endurance like Wendy Marvell!

We’re going to be training with endurance training first and foremost – so your most important days are your long distance days – but your HIIT training and interval training are nearly as important to work on tempo speed and stamina as well so do your best to get all five days in if possible!
