We’re just going to keep the Demon Slayer roll going until you guys say stop!
The SHJ Army and The Academy are LOVING all of The Demon Slayer characters that hit the site, so why stop if the requests just keep flooding in?
Our Demon Slayer Inspired Workout Database and our Anime Workouts Database are both loving it as well, so there’s no reason to cut it short.
Obviously I mix in other anime, shows and celebrities into our larger Workout Database, but the point is we have a few more weeks of at least one Demon Slayer characters showing up here at SHJ before we take a break.
We also recently had a few lists talking about The Most Powerful Demon Slayer Characters of All Time and even The Most Powerful Demons in Demon Slayer.
Gyomei made the first list!
And now we can add him into our Demon Slayer Workout Placement Quiz after this routine goes live.
Gyomei Himejima Stats:
Real Name: Gyomei Himejima
Height: 7’2
Weight: 287 lbs.
Anime: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
Gyomei is HUGE. Like monstrous in comparison to most of our other Demon Slayer characters.
He’s also way above average compared to most male anime characters in general, only sizing up with characters like All Might, Endeavor and a few others.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Gyomei Himejima Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Gyomei Himejima Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start with our research for Gyomei we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page.
They lead with his initial bio, stating:
Gyomei is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the current Stone Hashira. Gyomei also serves as the mentor of Genya Shinazugawa.
Which clearly doesn’t tell us much in terms of training aspects we can utilize outside of knowing that to become a Demon Slayer Corps Hashira you need to be extremely powerful.
When we move into his powers and abilites section we learn A LOT more that we can work with.
They start by giving us a section discussing his overall power level, which is something I really like about The Demon Slayer Wiki Fandoms:
Overall Abilities: As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Gyomei is a very powerful swordsman. He is stated by both Tanjiro and Inosuke Hashibira to be the strongest Demon Slayer in the entire Demon Slayer Corps. This is further given credence by the fact that when the Hashira meet, he always sits at the head of the group as well as Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, who noted that Gyomei’s natural physical abilities have been trained to their absolute peak and also stated that in the last three hundred years, he has not encountered a warrior of Gyomei’s caliber. He was able put up a fight against the strongest Upper Rank for a brief time without the use of his Demon Slayer Mark, further showing the extent of his skill.
Clearly Gyomei is extremely powerful, which is why we listed him among our Most Powerful Demon Slayer Characters of All Time.
On top of being a master swordsman and one of the strongest Demon Slayers in the entire Demon Slayer Corps as they list above, they also break down different sections like this:
Immense Stamina & Endurance: Gyomei possesses tremendous levels of physical endurance and stamina, able to take multiple attacks from Kokushibo, the Upper Rank One, receiving only minor injuries and continues to fight.
Immense Strength: Gyomei possesses immense physical strength, as shown when he uses his strength to push a large boulder bigger than him through a town. Through “Repetitive Actions”, he is capable of doing a set of pre-determined movements in order to maximize concentration. Even before undergoing training as a Demon slayer, Gyomei had already possessed incredible strength despite having a weak build at the time he discovered his abilities.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: During their battle, Kokushibo noted that in stark contrast to Gyomei’s large physical build, he possesses extremely fast and quick reflexes being able to easily move around his body to avoid all of his attacks, the Upper Rank even remarking that the ease and the grace that he moved was almost too absurd to believe.
Basically we need to train to become the peak of human performance the way Gyomei trained to reach his absolute peak.
For that we’re going to need to train around strength, speed and also overall endurance – which is tricky to mix into an overall routine – but nothing we’re not used to.
The main focus of this one is going to be mass and size, but we’ll also be throwing in endurance work as well to make sure we’re really training like a powerful Demon Slayer.
Think you’re ready for it?
