My Hero Academia has been HOT with our requests for more characters.
Obviously we have our current season hitting Funimation right now, so that is a portion of the requests coming in, but it’s also one of the most popular anime at SHJ with the most characters.
Our My Hero Academia Inspired Workouts continue to flood in and make waves within our larger Anime Workouts Database, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Denki is one of our Class-1A studs, so his name continued to pop up within the requests so frequently I couldn’t ignore it any longer!
He may not have made our list of The Most Powerful My Hero Academia Students, BUT there’s still a shot he comes back in with a vengeance and increases his power level over time.
He’s also going to be a great addition to our My Hero Academia Workout Placement Quiz.
Denki Stats:
Real Name: Denki Kaminari
Height: 5’6
Weight: N/A
Anime: My Hero Academia
Powers: Yes
As we know by now My Hero Academia doesn’t usually list weights, but is super accurate/strict with their height listing.
Denki comes in within a much shorter range among male characters here at SHJ, but we’ve been seeing more and more of that with the younger anime males we’ve brought in.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Denki Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Denki Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To kickstart our Denki research we’re going to be pulling right from the My Hero Academia Wiki Fandom, which we know is notorious for having super short bio sections.
Here’s what they give us for Denki:
Denki Kaminari, also known as Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt, is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.
There we have it. They’re living up to it.
Thankfully, they’re really in depth throughout the rest of the fandom page so we get a good idea of what we’re working with.
Moving on into Denki’s powers and abilities sections they tell us a lot about his overall intelligence as well as give us a really good breakdown about his overall abilities by stating:
Overall Abilities: While Denki doesn’t possess any direct combat abilities, he compensates for this with the moderate handle he has on the destructive, widespread power of his Quirk. When using Electrification, Denki gains a defense mechanism that shocks anyone who comes into contact with him, leaving them slightly, if not completely, paralyzed. As a result, Denki can be a fairly difficult individual to face in battle, especially those that rely on close-quarters combat. If Denki emits enough electricity, it automatically discharges in all directions, shocking anyone close to him regardless if there’s physical contact or not. This aspect of Electrification makes Denki very effective in battles involving a large number of opponents, but can also turn him into a burden if there are allies around who can’t protect themselves from his bolts.
So while Denki doesn’t have a super physical Quirk like Kiroshima or even Deku, he is still very powerful AND still had to pass the entrance exam after a ton of training.
And, although it won’t help us with our training research, I do think it’s important to share some more information about Denki’s Quirk:
Electrification: Denki’s Quirk allows him to generate electricity and cover his body in it. While he can also emit this energy over a distance, Denki has little to no control over it. Exceeding his wattage limit causes his brain to short-circuit, leaving him in a vulnerable state for 1 hour.
Denki is also able to absorb and neutralize electricity and other lightning-based Quirks.
As part of his training, Denki ran his currents of electricity through a high capacity battery so he can handle larger amounts of electricity.
This gives us a bit more of a full scope about his overall character.
For this one, though, the best way to achieve a Denki aesthetic while also preparing for his power level and entrance-level exam training is to make it easier than some of our super super powerful heroes by sticking to calisthenics, some circuit training and endurance work.
In order to stick to that kind of regime we’ll be utilizing some tactics we have within our Assassin Calisthenics 90 Day System which has literally been used to help train new U.S. Marines – but we’ll keep it nice and scaled down to beginner and intermediate levels.
