You guys have really been enjoying all the new characters here, but we try to give our villains some love as well.
While Acnologia didn’t make it to our Best Anime Villains of All Time – he is still extremely powerful, and even pretty popular among our Fairy Tail fans.
That said, he’s going to make a great addition to our Fairy Tail Inspired Workouts and Fairy Tail Workout Placement Quiz – and he is definitely another great villain joining our larger Anime Workouts Database.
Although I won’t be teaching you how to turn into a dragon…just so we’re clear…
Acnologia Stats:
Real Name: Acnologia
Height: 5’11
Weight: 190 lbs.
Anime: Fairy Tail
Powers: Yes
Acnologia has his normal human height at around 5’11 and then he also has his dragon height.
His human size makes him a bit above average compared to normal, younger, male anime characters we’ve seen at SHJ – but well below some of the other behemoths that are floating around in our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Acnologia Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Acnologia Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
Pulling directly from our Fairy Tail Wiki Fandom page we learn a bunch right off the bat about Acnologia and his background:
Acnologia, known to be fearsomely reputed as The Dragon King, was a cataclysmically powerful Dragon Slayer that can take the form of a Dragon at any time due from his overuse of Dragon Slayer Magic and bathing in the blood of the Dragons he killed. He was referred to as Doctor in his early life that took care of Dragons but due to them murdering his family, destroying his city, and “claiming” the life of a child, he took it upon himself using the name of the Dragon whom he despised to slay every Dragon in existence, believing they only cause destruction and pain.
So we can clearly immediately tell that he is extremely powerful.
For the sake of this one we’ll also be discussing his appearance, considering he has his dragon form as well, which they describe as:
Acnologia’s preferred appearance is that of his human form, which is that of a rather muscular young man with long, dark blue-colored hair. He carries a sharp gaze; his eyes have black circles around them. He is dark-skinned, and on his body he bears the same light blue markings he does when he is a Dragon. For attire, Acnologia dons a high collared, black cloak (which also bears his draconian markings), sharp red claws around his neck, a sash around his waist, a gold arm ring tightened around his right upper arm, and baggy pants which are decorated the same as the most former article of clothing.
From there they go on to give a LARGE section about his powers and abilities.
I’m going to be making some cuts and not giving full descriptions, but trying to keep as much information as possible.

So, to train around both his jacked physique AND his immense strength and speed by using methodology we have within our 90 Day Systems.
These systems have even been utilized to train new U.S. Marines, and we’ll be combining pieces from each to really step it up a notch.

We’re going to be training with 3 days of weight training that revolve around a PPL (Push, Pull, Leg Split) and then we’ll also have a full body circuit training day and a final day devoted to some extra endurance work that can be turned into some bonus HIIT training if you prefer.

For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
Option One – Run Based on Overall Fitness Level:
Beginner: 1-3 Miles
Intermediate: 3-5 Miles
Advanced: 5+ Miles
