It’s time to add another Dr. Stone character to our Anime Inspired Workouts.
We’ve seen a handful now and you guys loved them, but now we’ve been getting a ton of requests for Hyoga and his JACKED physique.
Hyoga came in at number six among our most popular Dr. Stone characters of all time – just behind some of our other characters we’ve already seen here at SHJ.
Between Tsukasa and Hyoga we’ll now have two shredded characters that are just waiting to be built around when Dr. Stone is added to our Workout Placement Quizzes.
Hyoga Stats:
Real Name: Hyoga
Height: 6’2
Weight: 178 lbs.
Anime: Dr. Stone
Powers: No
Hyoga is actually quite tall.
While we do have behemoths that tower above him – he’d be considered above average height among male anime characters we’ve seen.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Hyoga Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Hyoga Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Hyoga we’re going to be jumping into his Wiki Fandom page, starting with his initial bio:
Hyoga is a modern time survivor who was revived by Tsukasa Shishio. Initially an elite member of the Tsukasa Empire since depetrified by Tsukasa, he ultimately betrays him by attempting to take over his leadership and threatens Senku into joining, only to be defeated by the duo in the decisive battle for the Kingdom of Science.
After the situation calls for it, he is depetrified once again and summoned to battle – now as a begrudging ally of the Kingdom of Science with a similar but slightly mellowed goal in mind.
Since his third depetrification, Hyoga’s goals are unknown as of yet. For the time being, he shows no hostility and provides significant support to the group, even being ready to sacrifice his own life to assure that they meet no harm.
From there we can jump into his “Abilities and Skills” and immediately learn just how powerful he is.
They lead off the section with:
Hyoga is one of the strongest characters in series, making his strength known immediately when faced off against 10 other men whom he defeated in a few seconds after just waking up.
If that doesn’t tell you about his power level, I’m not sure what will, but we have more to share nevertheless.
They also go on to tell us about his intelligence level and all about the fact that he is a spear master – BUT, what we’re really going to focus on is his “Physical Abilities” section – which they break down as such:
Physical Abilities: He was able to take on Magma, Kohaku, and Kinro; the strongest three fighters in the Ishigami Village, and was able to stand his ground until his rigged weapon fell apart. Hyoga is also shown to be proficient in using his kudayari (a type of spear that has its shaft go through a hollow tube that allowed the spear to be twisted while thrusting). However, he has stated his power is essentially a wildcard, as if he does not have his preferred type of spear, his fighting ability drops significantly. This is shown when he barely held his own in a fight against Moz with a regular spear, but easily defeated him when he acquired a kudayari spear. He also defeated several military agents of Stanley’s unit, despite their intense combat training. However, he noted that the combined strength of Stanley and his unit armed with heavy fire arms would be dangerous.
It’s safe to say we’re going to be focusing on:
- Achieving a Shredded Aesthetic
- Building Strength while Staying Lean
- Unlocking Incredible Endurance
- Trickle in Combat Training
Which means you better be ready for a lot of volume and some high intensity.
Feel free to scale this down as much as you’d like by using less weight, less volume (reps, total sets, etc.) and cutting out full days of training if necessary.
