Sung Jinwoo is making his way to our Anime Workouts Database!
We’ve been seeing tons of characters from the bigger [more popular] anime for the last few weeks, but now it’s time to bring in one of the side requests that’s been sitting for a while.
Sung Jinwoo, from Solo Leveling, is a character that is perfect to write a workout routine around, which is another thing that makes it easy for me to push him up the list.
He’ll also make a great character to fit into our Anime Workout Placement Quiz for you guys as well.
But, spoiler alert, we’re going to be training to get BIG and strong as hell for this one.
Sung Jin-woo Stats:
Real Name: Sung Jinwoo
Height: (approximate fan guessimate) 6’1
Weight: N/A
Manga: Solo Leveling
Powers: Yes
Sung Jin-woo is actually quite tall. The fan-guesstimate puts him a little over six feet tall and makes him fairly tall when compared to male anime/manga characters we’ve seen.
Although, being a guesstimate we do have to consider he could be in a range of 5’10-6’3 pretty easily.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Sung Jinwoo Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Sung Jinwoo Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Sung Jinwoo to be able to build out this routine we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which leads us off with this bio for him:
Sung Jinwoo is the main protagonist of Solo Leveling. Originally an infamously weak E-Rank Hunter, he got the chance of a lifetime when he was selected as the Player of the System, giving him the unique ability to grow in strength without restraint. As a result, by taking advantage of the opportunities offered to him by the System, Jinwoo eventually rose to power as humanity’s greatest hunter and the second Shadow Monarch.
In terms of his appearance, which we normally don’t cover considering we usually have ample amount of pictures and see the characters in the anime, they give us this for Jinwoo:
Jinwoo is a handsome and muscular young man with gray eyes, black hair, and sharp facial features. When using his powers or agitated, his eyes glow bright purple. He is almost always seen wearing dark colors, particularly black.
When we then move into his abilities we can really start to see what we’re going to be training around, although we already know we’re going to have to factor in the fact that Jinwoo is big and muscular.
Here’s how they start off his abilities section:
As the vessel of the Shadow Monarch, Jinwoo is the strongest hunter in the world and completely outclasses the seven Rulers’ vessels in raw power.
From there he has a LONG list of abilities.
We won’t be able to use all of it to build out our routine, but I’m going to break down the full list:
- Immense Strength: Jinwoo possesses incomparably immense levels of physical strength. As a testament to this, he was able to quash the Statue of God, beat Thomas Andre to the brink of death while still holding back, kill the Beast Monarch in four hits, and slice Antares almost completely in half during their fight.
- Immense Durability: Jinwoo possesses incomparably immense levels of physical durability.
- Armor Creation: By concentrating his powers around himself, Jinwoo can generate jet-black armor onto his body.
- Immunity: If Jinwoo is affected by a debuff, this buff automatically removes it from his status, as displayed when it prevented him from being stunned by Baran’s lightning breath attack.
- Detoxification: If Jinwoo is poisoned, this buff automatically purges the said poison from his body, as displayed when it was able to almost instantly cleanse him of the Ant King’s paralysis poison. However, as the System detects alcohol as a poison, Jinwoo can’t get drunk.
- Tenacity: If Jinwoo’s health falls below 30%, this buff reduces all further damage taken by 50% in an attempt to keep him alive.
- Longevity: Jinwoo is immune to all diseases, poisonous substances, and any abnormalities to his status. This buff also grants him a regenerative healing factor, which accelerates exponentially when he sleeps.
- Stealth: Jinwoo is able to camouflage with his surroundings and hide all traces of presence, essentially turning himself both physically and magically invisible.
- Bloodlust: Jinwoo is able to magically intimidate a target into submission.
- Quicksilver: Jinwoo is able to increase his speed by 30% for a short burst.
- Mutilation: Jinwoo rips a target to shreds with his daggers. Due to his immense strength, most targets suffer grievous injuries on the first strike.
- Dagger Rush: Jinwoo barrages a target with his daggers from all directions.
- Ruler’s Authority: Jinwoo is able to move and control objects via telekinesis.
- Dragon’s Fear: Jinwoo is able to release a mana-infused shout from his soul that drives anyone weaker than him into a state of intense despair and panic.
- Shadow Extraction: Jinwoo is able to extract shadows from the corpses of his enemies and add them to his army.
- Shadow Preservation: Jinwoo is able to preserve his shadows in storage and monitor them by perceiving their senses.
- Shadow Exchange: Jinwoo is able to use shadows as portals to travel vast distances in an instant.
- Monarch’s Domain: Jinwoo is able to buff the strength of all of his active shadows by 50% in battle.
So for this one specifically we’re going to be working around Jinwoo’s strength, muscular physique and overall durability.
Tack that on with some endurance work that we’ll need to be a hunter and some HIIT calisthenics work mixed in to practice our ninja-like stealth training and we’ll be right on our way.

HELLL YEAAA SUNG JIN WOO
WOOOOOO!!!!!!
Will the chest day for this focus to much on the upper chest?
Nope. You’ll have a big chest and it’ll be rounded out with the weighted dips.
Nah… I am 15 rn and wanted to start training and I searched something with my fav character and ended up seeing this. Ngl iam gonna do this but this is overkill for me right now xD
You can scale down a bit to your level; or even start with The Beginner Behemoth Workout until you can move onto this. I also just added a calisthenics version for him.
How much weight do you recommend?
Specific to each individual. That’s what our calculators are for in Plus Ultra. Based on your stats and current lifts. I can lift 300+ easy on bench, but it would be ridiculous for me to program that for other people, you know..?
How should i do the Incline bench press, what do you mean by 4x 6,8,10,12. Do i start heavy or finish heavy?
When you see the number going up like that you should automatically assume it’s reverse pyramid training, which means you do a few warm up sets then start heavy and get lighter as the reps go up! 🙂
How many time i should do this workout ?
4-5 days per week following the schedule of days for 3+ months.
Would this work for everyone? Even without prior knowledge of how well these exercises work?
What would you having prior knowledge of how well these work have to do with them working for you?
