First we had Daki and now it’s time to bring in Gyutaro!
We already have a ton of demons within our Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts, but Gyutaro and Daki were the most requested because they’re the fan favorites and main antagonists of our Entertainment District Arc.
That being said, they also happen to be super fun characters to be able to build a workout around.
Their powers and abilities, being demons, are obviously really fun – but they also have abnormal but muscular/toned physiques to factor in as well.
Which also means Gyutaro is going to be another great addition to our Demon Slayer Workout Placement Quiz for you guys!

Powers: Yes
Gyutaro is actually quite tall if we compare him to male anime characters.
He’s not huge like some of the monsters we have in our Anime Workouts Database, but he is definitely on the taller side.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Gyutaro Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Gyutaro Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Gyutaro we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which tells us:
Gyutaro is one of the primary antagonists in the Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the position of Upper Rank Six, a position he shares with his younger sister, Daki.
Over a century ago, Gyutaro was a human child who worked as a debt collector in the Rashomon Riverbank of Yoshiwara, the lowest class in the Entertainment District, before he and Daki were turned into demons personally by Doma, who was Upper Rank Six at the time.
This is mostly things we knew already, but good information to have to lead into our research.
To continue on this, we already noted Gyutaro’s physique, so we’re going to be moving right into his abilities, starting with what they tell us about his overall abilities:
Overall Abilities: As the true Upper Rank Six, Gyutaro is an extremely powerful demon with over a century worth of combat experience under his belt, having killed 15 Hashira in the past, the strongest and most skilled Demon Slayers in the Demon Slayer Corps. His immense skills and abilities were evident as he possessed the means to easily combat both Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, and Tanjiro Kamado, a talented Demon Slayer who has fought Lower Rank demons in the past, eventually overwhelming them in battle. Even when the battle turned in the favor of the Demon Slayers, Gyutaro and Daki quickly managed to take control of the situation and overwhelm them.
Another testament to his power is the fact that despite being killed in battle, Gyutaro was still capable of severely injuring and maiming Tengen, Tanjiro and Inosuke and would have likely killed them if not for Nezuko’s own unique Blood Demon Art and if not for his own arrogance getting the better of him, he would have likely won and killed them all himself, as Muzan Kibutsuji later stated. Even as a child with no combat training, Gyutaro managed to defeat an adult swordsman by himself.
They might have to make room on our list of the strongest demons in Demon Slayer, am I right?
From there we can go on to talk about his Core Detachment, which they describe as follows:
Core Detachment: Gyutaro possess the ability to completely detach his “core” from his own body, with it seemingly taking the form of his right eye that he then implants into his sister Daki’s forehead, that then enhances and strengthens all of his sister’s abilities and powers. Through this, Gyutaro also then develops a psychic connection with her and allow him to see, hear and sense everything she does and even possess and take control of her body in order to better coordinate their attacks.
They build on this, talking about his Decapitation Immunity, Extrasensory Perception and Shared Biology that all comes with this – but we won’t expand unnecessarily into information we can’t use for our training (although there is more we can’t use that we will cover at least a little bit).
Some other abilities that I won’t expand on but will mention to give us the full scope of Gyutaro’s abilities are:
- Flesh Manipulation
- Immense Durability
- Immense Regeneration
- Poison Generation
- Tactical Intellect
They also go on to talk about his Blood Manipulation (which is his Blood Demon Art) and his Kama Proficiency (which is his fighting style).
But what we really want to focus on are these abilities that come with being a demon:
Immense Strength: Gyutaro possesses superhuman physical strength, being able to clash with Tengen’s own immense arm strength while fighting. He was also able to break two of Tanjiro’s fingers without much effort, send him flying into a building at high speeds, and cause Tanjiro to cough up blood with a single kick to the stomach. Gyutaro was also able to send Tengen flying back a great distance with another kick.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: As an Upper Rank demon, Gyutaro has assimilated an extremely high concentration of Muzan Kibutsuji’s blood which have greatly enhanced his own speed and reflexes to levels that can out-match the Hashira. As seen with most demons, Gyutaro can also use bursts of speed so fast he appears to teleport. He could also keep up with the blistering movements Tengen, the Hashira with the fastest running speed out of all his peers, sometimes moving fast enough to evade his reflexes and land hits on him before he can even react. Gyutaro was also fast enough to block a barrage of fast kunai.
Unlimited Stamina & Endurance: Like all demons, Gyutaro possesses an infinite amount of stamina and endurance. He was able to engage in combat with Tengen, a Hashira, and Tanjiro for the entire duration of the battle without showing any signs of fatigue or exertion. Gyutaro also showed immense resilience to pain when he twisted his own neck backwards to block Tengen’s sword attack and had both his legs sliced off, not displaying any signs of pain in neither instances. Even before becoming a demon, Gyutaro was able to get slashed in the back by a katana and didn’t flinch nor show any signs of pain.
So for this one the speed is going to come inherently with the strength work that we do so the main focus will be strength and endurance work.
The other great part is that the physique we’re aiming for will also come inherently with this training, which is four birds with one stone – or in this case the stone is a bada*s workout!
Be ready for heavy lifting but don’t be scared to scale down if needed.

Gyutaro Workout Routine
Training Volume:

Explanation:
To train to become Gyutaro we’re going to be using four days of weights to unlock his strength and agility, and then one day devoted to a Blood Manipulation Circuit Test. We’ll also be adding in some extra core work to fit in with his “Core Detachment” ability – and you’ll be able to use some of our additional resources if you want to step it up a notch with your mixed martial arts and parkour as well.

Of course, just search alternative movements for exercises you can’t complete.
