Our Dr. Stone Inspired Workouts are coming along nicely.
We’ve seen quite a few so far, and now it’s time to bring in another shredded AND popular character.
Taiju came in at number seven among the most popular Dr. Stone characters – and while he might not be as jacked as Hyoga and Tsukasa, he is definitely shredded enough to be well deserving of a slot here at SHJ.
This one is actually going to be really fun because it will be our third calisthenics routine among our Dr. Stone characters, which makes it an even three calisthenics and three weight training at the moment – and we’ll be able to switch it up and build this one around Taiju’s insane endurance.
But, more on that and how we’ll be building the routine below.
For now let’s start with some stats!
Taiju Oki Stats:
Real Name: Taiju Oki
Height: 6’2
Weight: 209 lbs.
Anime: Dr. Stone
Powers: Yes (Enhanced)
Taiju is actually really tall compared to most male anime characters we’ve seen.
Unless you compare him to the massive behemoths we’ve seen in our Anime Workouts Database, of course.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Taiju Oki Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Taiju Oki Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about how we’ll be building our Taiju workout I’m going to be pulling information from his Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they start off with in his bio section:
Taiju Oki is one of the protagonists of Dr. Stone. He was depetrified on October 5th, 5738 AD.
Together with Senku, he nobly aspires to rebuild the lost human civilization by depetrifying everyone caught in the phenomenon that happened 3,700 years ago.
Under Senku’s planning, he joins the Tsukasa Empire as a spy to help bring it down. After rejoining the Kingdom of Science, he is placed on the Power Team and usually puts his inhuman amounts of endurance to good use with assistance in building things, farming and gathering. He is the leader of the Farming Division.
Right off the bat they make mention to the “inhuman amounts of endurance” that Taiju has.
We can skip passed Taiju’s appearance considering we already know he’s shredded with six pack abs and toned muscles – and head right into his abilities.
They start off by discussing his enhanced physical prowess, stating:
Enhanced physical prowess: Taiju possesses an extremely sturdy body, something his friend Senku vouches for. He is strong enough to restrain Oarashi, who previously threw off Magma and Kinro at once.
From there they also go on to give us a full list of specific abilities:
- Immense durability: He is the first human to be able to withstand a kick from Tsukasa without immediately losing consciousness, opening his eyes as soon as Tsukasa leaves with Senku, saying he needs no recovery at all. He took a hit from Moz, while earning praise for his endurance. In spite of that he was easily gone down from the shots of soldiers following Stanley
- Immense stamina: He also possesses immense stamina, able to cross 80 kilometers in five hours (16 km/h or 9.94 mph). Gen Asagiri has also noted that his stamina is immense. He is also the strongest man for endurance after Tsukasa was put in cryosleep and Hyoga was incarcerated. Magma, Ginro, and Yo notably respect Taiju due to his perk of “limitless stamina” that surpasses even the strongest man in Ishigami Village. He was able to make several trips underwater, without the need of an oxygen tank all the while carrying several statues. This fest left both the modern timers and stone world people amazed.
- Enhanced strength: Taiju, besides his sturdiness, is also considerably strong. He was able to hurl a huge boulder at Tsukasa’s location high enough to make it fall not before Tsukasa kicked the gunpowder to spread it in order to spark an explosion. He also carried all the statues of his petrified friends, greatly impressing Ryusui Nanami, Gen Asagiri, Soyuz, and Suika.
So even though we’re going to put a focus on endurance training for this one, we’re still going to be looking to increase our strength as well.
Thankfully, we’re also going to be looking to achieve Taiju’s aesthetic (shredded physique) so the calisthenics work we do to build strength will be a double whammy.

Taiju Oki Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5 days per week
Explanation:
For this one we’re going to be training with 5 days a week, two days that will be very minimal calisthenics warm up and longer endurance work, and then three days that will be reversed with a bit more (yet still fairly basic) calisthenics and short, but more intense HIIT.

Taiju Oki Workout Routine: Farming Division Endurance Work
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
Option One – Run Based on Overall Fitness Level:
Beginner: 1-3 Miles
Intermediate: 3-5 Miles
Advanced: 5+ Miles
