We haven’t had an Assassination Classroom character in a while and you guys have put in enough requests for Irina that I can warrant bumping her up the list a bit.
We’ve seen Korosensei, Karma Akabane and Nagisa Shiota – so we’ll finally be bringing one in for the ladies!
This one will be fun because Irina has her physical abilities, but we’ll also be working with more of a cosplay-oriented routine which allows us to build a beginner to intermediate level workout for The SHJ Army.
We see so many extremely powerful characters that make it hard to build around beginners and we have so many members just starting out – so it’s nice to be able to bring in some cosplay focused routines to level out our Anime Workouts Database a bit.

Real Name: Irina Jelavic
Height: 5’7
Weight: 110 lbs.
Anime: Assassination Classroom
Powers: No
Irina Jelavic is actually quite tall.
She stands a few inches above what we’d consider average height among female celebrities and characters.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Irina Jelavic Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Irina Jelavic Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Irina Jelavic and how we’re going to be building our workout I’ll be pulling from her Wiki Fandom which starts with this:
Irina Jelavić is the English teacher of Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School and a professional hitwoman who is hired by the government to assassinate Korosensei.
Since we already know we’re going to also factor in her appearance for a cosplay focused routine I’ll also be pulling from her appearance section.
Here’s how they break that down:
Irina is a tall and beautiful fair-skinned young woman with wavy hip-length light blond hair that is split on either side, large light blue eyes and a curvy body type that she can utilize to seduce and manipulate her assassination targets in order to achieve her goal.
Irina is usually seen in high brands and fashionable clothing which emphasize her flattering form. This often causes Karasuma to reprimand her for wearing “inappropriate” clothing for a teacher.
When we move down into her abilities section we get another layer of what we’ll be working around.
Here’s what we have them write there:
- Infiltration: As an infiltration assassin, Irina is considered second to none. She is able to charm/distract her way into her target’s inner circles, penetrating the highest security and killing/trapping them when they are alone at point-blank range with little difficulty. Irina often has to adopt different personalities in order to infiltrate into the various situations her missions put her through.
- Kiss of Death: From Olga, Irina has apparently gained the “Kiss of Death” technique, able to acquire several “Hits” off of others through indiscriminate French kisses. She has taught this technique to her students, the most notable being Nagisa.
- Planning: After her seduction techniques, this is considered to be one of Irina’s greatest talents. She can elaborate detailed plans completely on her own, with backups for any complication that might arise, thus giving her targets little to no chance of survival.
- Martial Arts Competence/Weaponry Master: Being an assassin, Irina shows considerable expertise with handling weapons such as firearms and melee weapons, apart of being able of setting up complex trigger traps when attempting to kill Korosensei. She also is shown to be skilled in martial arts but since she is an assassin and not a combatant, she is severely under-skilled when compared to more prominent fighters in the series, such as Karasuma.
- Musician: Irina has been shown to be able to play the piano at a concert-performer level with ease while still being able to draw people’s attention through minuscule body movements.
- Multilingualism: Irina is extremely skilled in conversational abilities, being fluent in 10 different languages. Through these skills combined with her infiltration abilities, she is able to extract information from her targets.
She infiltrates a bit different than we’re used to, but we can ignore the fact that she’s still an assassin at the end of the day.
That means the goals for our Irina Jelavic Inspired Workout will be:

- Irina Jelavic’s Body Control (Calisthenics)
We’re going to be using calisthenics and it will be based around a beginner to intermediate level so you shouldn’t have to do much scaling but if you do need to you can even start with our Beginner Ninja Workout and make your way into this one.

Explanation:
For this one we’re going to be training with a semi-simple calisthenics program 3 days per week and then we’ll have one day devoted to endurance work and a final day devoted to an Infiltration Circuit Test which you can do weekly, biweekly or monthly.

In a perfect world our Academy members or 90 Day System members will use this day to work in our Benchmark Workouts to continue testing and improving scores and tracking them against other members; especially our SHJ Core Benchmarks (although our Hero Benchmarks are just as awesome).

For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
