Our One Piece Inspired Workouts Database is one of the largest single anime databases on the entire site and you guys still have more and more requests coming in for new characters.
And while Enel is extremely powerful, I’m still using this opportunity to get another calisthenics workout among our One Piece characters.
So yes, you read that right, this one will be based on bodyweight training.
Our database is overwhelmed with weight training and only a handful of calisthenics workouts (usually built on characters who get secondary routines who already have weight training routines) – so this is a perfect physique to keep it going for you guys.

Powers: Yes
Enel is in the category of behemoths among our male anime characters in our Anime Workouts Database, but this routine will NOT get us that tall.
His weight range is also extremely light compared to his height, but that’s fine if we consider the style of aesthetic we’ll be going for here.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Enel Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Enel Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Enel I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which leads us off with this:
Enel is the former tyrannical “God” of Skypiea. Previously an inhabitant of Birka, Enel destroyed his homeland through the powers of the Goro Goro no Mi and then proceeded to take over Skypiea with his followers. His ultimate goal was reaching “Fairy Vearth”, having constructed a massive airship from Shandora’s gold in order to attain said objective. After being defeated by Monkey D. Luffy and yet, nonetheless, successfully arriving on the moon, Enel became its new ruler. Enel is the main antagonist of the Skypiea Arc and thus the major antagonist of the Sky Island Saga as a whole. After his defeat on Skypiea, he became the central character for Enel’s Great Space Operations Cover Page Serial.
We’ll obviously be factoring in Enel’s physique, but we can also learn a ton when we move down into his powers and abilities.
They talk about his intelligence, mechanical expertise and more, but this is how they start off his abilities:
As a God of Skypiea, Enel had full control of the island. Enel is extremely powerful, although he appeared to be weaker than many characters as powerful as he is due to the fact that Luffy had complete immunity to most of Enel’s lightning-based attacks, and was even able to strike Enel, thanks to his rubber powers. Enel’s strength was first demonstrated when he effortlessly defeated Kamakiri and shortly after defeating another Shandia, Raki.
From there they also break down his physical abilities as follows:
Enel has melee combat skills without rely on his Devil Fruit powers. He has good acrobatic skills, which he uses to dodge attacks such as the shots of Wyper’s bazooka and Zoro’s sword attacks. He possesses incredible physical strength. He easily caught an out of placed giant gold gear of the Maxim ark and put it back with one hand. During his fight against Luffy, he was able of caught his two arms in midair during a Gatling Gun attack, by using Kenbushoku Haki, and slam Luffy’s body against Ark Maxim’s wooden deck through his stretched arms, breaking the wooden deck in the process. Enel has an above-average endurance, shrugging off most of Luffy’s attacks. Enel had also stomped Zoro to the ground with his foot, and the ground shook as a result. Zoro would later comment that his strength was monstrous. During his Cover Story,he was able of defeat Seamars, a extraterrestrial pirate captain, with a single lightning-imbued kick.
This is where we’re going o be pulling the most information and inspiration for the routine.
But to build on his character a bit before moving into the workout I’ll share some information about his Devil Fruit Powers just do do his character justice:
Enel ate the Goro Goro no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit which allows him to create, control, and transform his body into lightning. He can use a variety of lightning based attacks, either by channeling lightning through his body or by striking the drums on his back. Its power is said to be invincible. He is able to attack his opponents with powerful bolts of lightning. He can freely control the power output he unleashes, up to a maximum of 200,000,000 volts. When amplified by his ship, his powers became strong enough to easily destroy an entire island.
We won’t be learning how to create, control and transform our body into lightning – but it’s still relevant to Enel.

Explanation:
We’re training around a former god so I’m pulling a base from the God of Curses routine and building this calisthenics workout off of that! You’ll have 3 days of tri-sets and a finisher as well as a Skypiea Circuit Test you can do weekly, biweekly or monthly and a final day devoted to endurance work.

For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
