Next up among our Assassination Classroom Inspired Workouts is another student; which is another super powerful one.
Itona Horibe comes in as our next assassin, the extremely strong transfer student.
With Itona we’ll have an equal amount of students and teachers and our database will be growing at a good speed; especially considering the fact that now we got started a bit and you guys have flooded me with more requests.
That said, I won’t complain considering we have a good amount of characters to bring in with only two seasons of the anime and twenty one volumes of the manga!
Itana Horibe Stats:
Real Name: Itana Horibe
Height: 5’3
Weight: 116 lbs.
Anime: Assassination Classroom
Powers: Yes
Itona Horibe is actually extremely short (which we’re used to with Assassination Classroom characters) and comes in within the shortest range.
We have behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database, and even if we cut those out of the factor Itona is still below average.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Itona Horibe Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Itona Horibe Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Itona Horibe I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with this:
Itona Horibe is the second assassin transfer student to arrive at Class 3-E, following the previous assassin, Ritsu. He initially served as the secondary antagonist, before ultimately joining Class E for good.
Many of you may have expected Itona to be getting a calisthenics workout considering his small physique and overall aesthetic, but when we move into his powers and abilities we learn just why I’m building this one out around weight training.
They start us off with his intellect and electrical engineering before breaking down his physical abilities:
Electrical Engineering: Itona has knack for gadgets and tinkering with electronic components due to learning the basics of technical and electrical engineering from his father’s company and demonstrates excellent engineering skills, mostly notably in electrical engineering. He often puts his skills to good use with not just assassinations, but also in spying and reconnaissance when needed, being often tasked with using custom-made RC vehicles that he constructs for reconnaissance. He is also proficient in knowledge of electronic devices as demonstrated when he was able to safely remove the explosive collars from himself and from his classmates after they were kidnapped by The Reaper.
Intelligence: Itona was revealed to have a high level of intelligence that was hindered and couldn’t be used due to his tentacles. He shows this through his mechanic skills and academic grades.
These don’t help us build out a workout routine, but they are definitely relevant to his character.
But here’s where it really gets good:
Athletics: While he had tentacles attached to his head, Itona had incredible physical abilities such as increased strength and speed that matches with Korosensei. After his tentacles were removed, he lost most of its abilities that could be on par with Korosensei, but he still retained most of his athletic abilities from his modification with Shiro, which was shown during the climax of the Athletic Festival Arc when he performed a six-foot jump into the air after being catapulted by Isogai and brought Class A’s pole to the ground.
As you can tell: we’re dealing with a strong character.
We will still want to stay lean and toned, but his also kept his incredible speed and strength, which will also be a big factor for us.
That means the goals for our Itona Horibe Inspired Workout are:
- Itona’s Incredible Strength and Speed
- Itona’s Assassin Body Control
- Itona’s Lean and Toned Physique
For this one we’ll be building a hybrid routine with a full body split that will still allow us to focus on staying lean and toned while also building parts of assassin like training and aiming for the incredible strength and speed.
In order to do this it will lean toward an intermediate to advanced level, but you can choose to scale it down or even start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout.

Itona Horibe Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
As I mentioned above, we’ll be using weight training but also sticking to hybrid to keep it assassin-like while using a full body split to stick to strength and speed gains all while aiming for a lean and toned physique. That means you’ll have 3 days of full body hybrid training, one day devoted to endurance and a final Class 3-E Circuit Test that you can tack on weekly, biweekly or monthly as you’d like.
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
