It’s time to bring in another massive character into our Dragon Ball Z Inspired Workouts.
We’re used to see super powerful Saiyans and massively strong characters in general; but it’s always fun to bring in some behemoths as well.
And make no mistake: Nappa is a behemoth.
Even though a lot of our other DBZ characters are fairly tall and might make Nappa look even bigger; he’s still absolutely massive and would tower over and normal sized human.
So before we get any further I should also make it obvious that we’re going to be training around building insane amounts of mass and strength; and we’ll be using weight training in order to do it – which means this one is not ending up in our calisthenics workouts for our acrobats inside The SHJ Army.
Nappa Stats:
Real Name: Nappa
Height: 6’10
Weight: N/A
Anime: Nappa
Powers: Yes
I wasn’t lying when I said Nappa is massive. He towers over the majority of our anime characters and joins the behemoths inside our Anime Workouts Database.
He may not have an official weight listed, but we can assume it’s well over three hundred pounds.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Nappa Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Nappa Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn about Nappa and what we’ll be using to build this routine (although we already know we’re looking to get strong and massive), I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they tell us about the secondary villain of our Vegeta Saga:
Nappa is a mid-class Saiyan warrior from Planet Vegeta, and Vegeta’s partner in combat. Prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Nappa was the general of the Saiyan Army and aid/partner to the young prince, Vegeta. After his race’s demise, he, along with Vegeta and Raditz, worked as soldiers directly under Frieza, which led him to Earth.
And although Nappa is classified as a mid-class Saiyan warrior, he is actually extremely powerful.
While he might not rank up to Vegeta and Goku’s status, here’s what they tell us about his power level:
When first arriving on Earth, Nappa demonstrated his power by incinerating an entire city instantly. In his fight against the Z Fighters during the Vegeta Saga, Nappa is easily able to overpower their various tactics. He emerged unfazed by Krillin’s Scattering Bullet, resist Chiaotzu’s Farewell, Mr. Tien, and even survive Tien’s Spirit Tri-Beam, only damaging his armor (albeit Vegeta noted that it probably would have killed Nappa if he hadn’t seen the attack coming). He was also able to easily repel Krillin and Piccolo’s team attack while both using the Tri-Form and knock away Gohan’s rage-induced Masenko which even Vegeta warned him to be careful of. Against Goku, while initially beaten around in a humiliating fashion, once calming down Nappa proved able to compete against the improved foe. Despite this, he still was unable to harm Goku. Ultimately, Vegeta told Nappa to stand down, convinced that Nappa couldn’t defeat Goku. When Nappa decided to entertain himself by killing Krillin and Gohan, Goku unveiled his Kaio-ken, which let him beat Nappa with one attack.
No, it’s not over 9,000 – but it’s still at a level that was dominant, especially at that point in DBZ.
His Fandom also goes on to share this detail about his overall power level, shared within the Weekly Shonen Jump:
Nappa’s Power Level is 4,000, as stated in Weekly Shōnen Jump, Daizenshuu 7 and a Q&A in Dragon Ball Full Color.
That said, we already knew we had to train to get extremely strong.
We’re going to be listing the goals of our Nappa Inspired Workout as follows:
- Nappa’s Massive Muscular Physique
- Nappa’s Incredible Strength and Power Level
- Nappa’s Speed and Endurance
While the main goals are going to be getting massive and strong we also don’t want to forget that Nappa is also a powerful Saiyan warrior that has enhanced endurance, speed and obviously powerful fighting abilities.
For that reason I’ll also be building this one with some endurance and speed training in there that can be optional additional work on top of your weightlifting.
Check out all The SHJ Programs and start unleashing your inner SuperHuman.

This workout has been great. I’ve been switching back and forth between the Kratos workout and the Geralt of rivia workouts those fit my training style more but now this one has been added into my rotation of switching between these 3 workouts every couple months. Thank you for posting these routine’s it’s helped me out so much in my fitness journey I went from 315 pounds to 280 pounds in 4 months. Definitely seeing an increase in strength from all of these workouts.
Btw do you think we will ever see a Raditz routine that man’s quads and legs were a next level lol. He might be a weak character but that man’s leg day must have been on par with The Rocks lol.
That’s awesome man, love to hear it.
Keep me updated on your progress – would love to hear more.
I can make that happen! Added Raditz to the queue.
