The second season of Vinland Saga released and within a day or two it was at the top of the most watched and trending anime out.
Last season Vinland Saga was hot we had tons of requests for characters coming in, but we didn’t stop after the season ended…
We kept preparing for this moment and now we have a full selection of Vinland Saga Inspired Workouts!
Einar might not be a character you’d immediately think we were going to prioritize in terms of abilities; but he’s one of the most popular characters at the moment, and the one The SHJ Army wants to see next.
Einar Stats:
Real Name: Einar
Height: 6′
Weight: 165 lbs.
Anime: Vinland Saga
Powers: No
Einar is actually pretty all compared to other male anime characters we’ve had at SHJ.
He misses being a behemoth among our Anime Workouts Database by half a foot or so, but he comes in with the other characters that are bringing up the average a bit.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Einar Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Einar Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Einar I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with his bio section that they give us here:
Einar is a former slave who formerly worked in a field in Northern England. He met Thorfinn at Ketil’s farm and later becomes close friends with him. He shares Thorfinn’s dream of creating a country of peace in Vinland, and so he starts travelling with him.
He sees Thorfinn as a changed and admirable man, and views it as unfair for Thorfinn to die before he builds more peace and life in Vinland.
This doesn’t tell us much about what we’ll work around in order to train like Einar, but it does give us the necessary background information we need to acknowledge before we move onto more details.
From here we can share some of his appearance section being that we’ll be using it in order to build out this routine:
Einar is a tall man with reddish brown hair and brown eyes. He is 20 years old when he is introduced in 1015. After many years of hard labor in the fields, Einar develops a muscular stature.
It’s the muscular stature that he developed that we’ll also be looking to develop with this workout.
When we move into his abilities section they’ll mention his muscular stature again, but not much else for us to build around.
That said, we should still share that information to get a full rounded picture of what we’re working with:
Einar has few abilities when it comes to combat, but he is quite large in stature and musculature. He also has experience farming and doing various other hands on tasks.
Large and muscular.
It’s pretty clear what we’re going to be focusing on, but I do want to also recognize the fact that Einar is no Thorkell or even Thors.
We’re not training to be a behemoth, but we are looking to become “large” and muscular; some added mass.
That means the goals for our Einar Inspired Workout are:
- Einar’s Muscular Physique
- Einar’s Strength
- Einar’s Basic Combat Abilities
With all of that in mind: we’ll be training with a fairly standard PPL (Push, Pull, Leg) Split to tack on some solid mass and strength, but also not add on too much volume and/or intensity that we start teetering into the Thorkell or Thors territory.
This one should be fairly easy for all fitness levels to jump into and take advantage of but if it’s a bit too daunting for you at first glance you can also start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout or any of our Beginner Workouts and work your way up to this one.
