We’re bringing in another incredible character for our Jujutsu Kaisen Inspired Workouts and even though the anime for Jujutsu Kaisen [feels] super slow to get to us (or I’m just eager), I’m glad you guys have so much love for the manga.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is one of my favorite manga and I’ve been slowly adding some of the characters exclusive to the manga to the site, and Kinji Hakari is a big one!
Hakari actually just made it onto our list of the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen students, and is one of the strongest characters we’ve met in Jujutsu Kaisen overall.
Which means this one will definitely be a hard workout, since we’re also going to be factoring in his power level, but we will be keeping this one to calisthenics so that the bodyweight members of our SHJ Army can jump right in and take it on.
Kinji Hakari Stats:
Real Name: Kinji Hakari
Height: 6′ (Fan Guesstimate)
Weight: N/A
Anime/Manga: Jujutsu Kaisen
Powers: Yes
Kinji is described as being a tall man, and though we don’t see him standing next to other characters that often, fans were still able to make an educated guess.
That said, either way he won’t be making it among our behemoths inside our Anime Workouts Database, though he is taller than a bunch of the other Jujutsu Kaisen characters.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Kinji Hakari Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Kinji Hakari Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Hakari I’ll be pulling right from his Fandom page, starting with what they give us for his bio section here:
Kinji Hakari is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High who is currently suspended for clashing with authority. While away from the school, Kinji is running the Gachinko Fight Club, a venue for hand-to-hand combat between sorcerers for money.
Right off the bat you can probably tell we’re going to be revolving our training around some layer of a fighter.
Before we even move down into his powers and abilities we already know we’ll need core strength and endurance work, among many other things.
When we move into his appearance section, which will be another factor to consider for our workout, they start with this snippet:
Kinji is a tall young man with tan skin and a muscular build. He has small magenta-colored eyes with thin slitted eyebrows and a thin mustache made of stubble. While at Jujutsu High, Hakari had black hair styled into short twisted locks with a fade below his brow line. His hair is currently dyed light purple and in the shape of a puffy, tapered afro that slicks back toward the rear of his head.
The main piece of this is going to be the fact that they immediately make mention of his muscular build (though we could have sorted that one out for ourselves).
To start off his powers and abilities section we’ll pull from his overall abilities, which are described here:
Overall Skill Level: Hakari is widely recognized as one of the most powerful students at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Satoru Gojo, the undisputed strongest sorcerer in the world, believes that Hakari and Yuta Okkotsu will have the potential to rival his power one day. As Yuji stated, all of his senpai have stated that Hakari is exceptionally strong. Yuta even believes Hakari is the stronger of the two of them when he’s worked up.
Kinji is not only an elite close-quarters combatant who possesses serrated cursed energy but an extraordinary jujutsu specialist armed with a dynamic domain. He distinguished himself in the Culling Game by defeating Hajime Kashimo, not only one of the strongest players in the death game, but one of the most powerful sorcerers Kenjaku ever encountered in one thousand years.
Kinji’s domain is unique and his luck is reliable, making for a combination capable of opposing any threat. Charles Bernard could see briefly into Kinji’s future but he was instantly bested as soon as Kinji hit the jackpot of his domain. Kashimo nearly killed Kinji on several exchanges but he was able to repeatedly open his domain and successfully hit the jackpot to enter his unkillable mode. Kinji’s strategic thinking and expert battle sense are ultimately what complemented his techniques best and allowed him to achieve victory against Kashimo.
I told you about Hakari’s power level earlier in the article, but this should sum it up for you a bit better.
Even Gojo recognizes him as a character that could one day be the most powerful.
From there we can learn about Hakari’s skills in hand to hand combat, high tactical intellect, and even his luck:
Master Hand-to-Hand-Combatant: Kinji is an exceptionally capable hand-to-hand combatant, able to apply life-threatening pressure to Yuji, a very proficient taijutsu specialist. Yuji stopped resisting in order to win Kinji’s approval and ended up suffering several blows that dealt serious damage to the first year.
High Tactical Intellect: Kinji doesn’t present himself as a fighter with a plan because he’s fearless and straightforward. That being said, Kinji is an experienced sorcerer with a high strategic battle sense and a knack for reading his opponents.
Immense Luck: While Kinji is an extremely gifted sorcerer, more so than any of his skills, he’s extraordinarily lucky. He’s as fortunate as he is talented and can comfortably rely on this to win fights. Kinji’s domain is based on drawing a jackpot with only a 1/239 chance of doing so, yet he claims to have never needed to spin more than thirty times. It only took him two spins to hit the jackpot against Charles and he hit it twice in a row on the first try against Kashimo. The second time, Kinji was mere moments from death and needed an immediate jackpot in order to heal himself. His good fortune pulled through and even Kashimo was forced to admit that Kinji truly has incredible luck.
The fact that Hakari is as powerful as he is without being this massively jacked character is what will make this one so much fun.
The goals for our Kinji Hakari Inspired Workout are going to be:
- Hakari’s Lean and Muscular Physique
- Hakari’s Fighter Strength and Speed
- Hakari’s Fighter Endurance
For this we’ll be using a fun but also fairly basic calisthenics workout that will mix in endurance training and intensity to make sure we’re really leveling up to a Hakari style potential.
Check out all The SHJ Programs and start unleashing your inner SuperHuman.
If it seems a bit too intense for you (or too much volume, too hard to scale, etc.) you can also choose to start with our Beginner Ninja Workout (or any of our Beginner Workouts).
Kinji Hakari Workout Routine
Training Volume:
4 days per week of calisthenics and 1-2 days a week of endurance training
Explanation:
For this one we’ll be utilizing four days of calisthenics training that will be based on hitting fatigue and using progressive overload to focus in on hypertrophy and building muscle, but the scaling up will be on you. I won’t be there to tell you when to increase the volume/workload (as discussed above), that’s on you. I also built a Hakari Circuit Test, which we’re calling our Lucky Circuit Test that can be subbed into your HIIT slots by only completing it as a 2 round workout instead of a 4.
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.

why its looking like guts workout? no hate i know its over 2000 workouts
I did use his as a model, but I made a ton of changes to it (and the original workout was still better for Hakari considering Guts really needs weights).
