Our Dragon Ball Inspired Workouts Database is one of the largest on the site, and today I wanted to make sure we brought in another fun character – but one we could get a beginner workout based on.
Don’t get me wrong, Cabba is extremely powerful, but he’s also the youngest and smallest of our powerful saiyans that we have for our SHJ Army to be inspired by.
For that reason, following our fairly intense Gohan calisthenics workout a couple weeks back I’ll be making this Cabba inspired workout the newest addition to our calisthenics workouts as well.
Though I should make it clear that this one will be good for all fitness levels, beginner to advanced, it just might take a little scaling in either direction.
Cabba Stats:
Real Name: Cabba
Height: 4’10
Weight: N/A
Anime/Manga: Dragon Ball Super
Powers: Yes
Cabba is young and quite short – with a height between 4’9-5’0 if we compare him directly to Vegeta who is also short.
Either way he comes in among the shortest characters we’ve seen in our entire Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Cabba Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Cabba Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Cabba I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which starts us off with a brief bio section:
Cabba is a supporting character in the 2015 Japanese martial arts fantasy manga series Dragon Ball Super and its 2015-2018 anime television series adaptation of the same name.
He is a Saiyan from Universe 6 who was selected by Champa to be apart of the team. After his battle with Vegeta, he started to view the latter as his mentor.
At some point in the past, he fought alongside a fellow Universe 6 fighter known as Frost to stop Space Pirates on the planet Mayonnai, until later at the tournament he discovered it was all Frost’s doing.
The big part of this is the reinforcement we get about just how strong Cabba is.
From there we can immediately move onto Cabba’s powers and abilities, skipping past his appearance section being that we already know he struts a slim and small frame.
Here is how they start by breaking down his overall power level:
Despite being visibly younger and smaller than Vegeta, Cabba is able to fight against the Saiyan Prince on equal footing while both warriors are in their base form, impressing Vegeta. As a divergent line of Saiyans, Cabba notes that the Saiyans from his universe evolved beyond having a tail, surprised that the Saiyans of Universe 7 had still been born with theirs.
And if we want to break down some of his abilities (albeit not all of them) we can list them out like this:
- Flight
- Super strength
- Superhuman abilities
- Energy projection
- Super Saiyan transformation
Which makes the basis of our training pretty obvious; not that we’re not already used to training around Saiyan abilities here at SHJ.
The goals for our Cabba Inspired Workout are going to be:
- Cabba’s Super Strength and Speed
- Cabba’s Slim and Toned Aesthetic
- Cabba’s Saiyan Endurance
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article: I’m going to be making sure that beginners can jump right in and take advantage of this one.
We’ll be training with calisthenics and I’ll also be throwing in some endurance work as well as some high intensity to put our Cabba skills to the test.
That said, if you have a hard time scaling this one (which you shouldn’t) you can also start with our Beginner Ninja Workout.
