I want to immediately go on record saying that this is going to be the ultimate mixture of an insanely effective bodyweight routine with extremely basic foundations along with one of my favorite characters in MHA.
Twice is not only one of my favorite characters in My Hero Academia, but also my favorite villain in the show – and I’m so glad I decided to wait long enough for him to get more of his character arc.
He will be joining our massive My Hero Academia Inspired Workouts, and also joining our calisthenics workouts as this one will be coming in as a bodyweight routine.
And, to spice it up that much more, as I alluded to above, we’ll also be keeping it fairly simple being that I really find myself feeling like a prison style bodyweight workout is perfect for Twice as a character (and for his physique).
Twice Stats:
Real Name: Jin Bubaigawara
Height: 5’10
Weight: N/A
Anime: My Hero Academia
Powers: Yes
Jin Bubaigawara is actually fairly tall compared to male anime characters, but definitely not what we’d consider a behemoth within our Anime Workouts Database.
He misses that slot by more than half a foot, though he does bring up our average height ever so slightly.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Twice Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Twice Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Twice we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with what they tell us in his bio section here:
Jin Bubaigawara also known as Twice, was a major antagonist of the My Hero Academia manga and anime series.
He was a Villain affiliated with the League of Villains, part of its Vanguard Action Squad, and later became one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. He served as an antagonist in the Forest Training Camp Arc, Shie Hassaikai Arc, and Paranormal Liberation War Arc.
When we move down into his appearance section they also immediately make mention to his muscular physique.
Here’s how they break it down:
Jin was a rather well-built man, with blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He had a large scar splitting his forehead from an incident in his past. He had visible traces of facial hair over his mouth and at the bottom of his chin. His civilian attire consisted of a blue-collared shirt over a white tank top along with a normal pair of pants and boots.
His villain costume was a black and gray bodysuit that covered his body completely, along with gray boots. The upper half of his signature mask was gray with white eye sockets while the lower half-covering his mouth was black. Twice also sported red and green wristbands that he stored his measuring tapes in.
From there we can immediately make our way towards his abilities section.
Before we discuss his Quirk we can start with his overall abilities here:
Overall Abilities: Twice was a fairly capable villain and a major asset to the League of Villains. His Quirk was very effective in a supporting role, as he could use his power to create reinforcement for both himself and his allies in battle. Tomura Shigaraki claims that Twice’s Quirk is a key piece to the League’s plans. Overhaul and, later, the Meta Liberation Army, wanted to recruit Twice in order to get a hold of his unique Quirk. Even Dabi regarded Double as invaluable to his plans, to the point where he was infuriated by his death at the hands of Hawks. Outside of his Quirk proficiency, Twice was also a skilled acrobat with impressive speed and reaction time, completely evading an ice wave from Shoto Todoroki, one of U.A. High School’s most promising students.
Having used his abilities for widespread burglary and theft, Twice became one of the government’s most wanted criminals prior to joining the League. Even Hawks, the No. 2 Pro Hero, believed Twice to be the most dangerous of Tomura’s lieutenants, which was the reason he immediately moved in to arrest him at the start of the Paranormal Liberation War. Sensing the mass casualties that Twice’s Quirk could have caused, Hawks was eventually forced to kill him as the villain ran out to join the battle.
This makes much more sense when we add his Quirk to the mix.
Here’s how his Fandom describes it for us:
Double: Jin’s Quirk granted him the ability to create an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. In order to duplicate something, he needed to know the exact measurements and characteristics. He was limited to only two duplications at a time. The duplicates were not as durable as the original; the second duplicate being even less durable than the first.
When Twice created duplicates of a person, he had no control over the clones because they had their own autonomy; their personalities and abilities being completely identical to the original. Creating doubles of himself allowed him to bypass his two duplicate limit, since a duplicate of a person would possess the same Quirk as the original. He was initially unwilling to duplicate himself due to traumatic experiences involving his own clones, though he eventually overcame this.
So we obviously won’t be learning how to duplicate ourselves, so that leaves us with Twice’s physical strength, fighting ability, endurance, and physique.
We actually get to see more of this as Twice got much more screen time and it makes our goals fairly easy to decide.
That means the goals for our Twice Inspired Workout are:
- Twice’s Muscular and Toned Physique
- Twice’s Strength and Speed (Though Not Overpowered)
- Twice’s Fighter Endurance and Body Control
In my opinion a prison style bodyweight workout not only goes perfect with Twice’s character and background, but also his physique and abilities as well.
We finally have a character we don’t have to build around with extremely overpowered abilities that still has a physique that we can strive to achieve that it fairly close to what a lot of our members in The SHJ Army have as their goals.
That said, you should be able to jump into this one at any fitness level, especially with a little scaling if you’re a beginner, but you could also start with The Beginner Ninja Workout or even one of our our Beginner Workouts if you’d like to as well.
