Originally we only had our Morgiana Inspired Workout but now we are making our way into multiple characters from the Magi Universe, this time coming in with Alibaba.
That brings us to Morgiana, Sinbad and now Alibaba being enough to start off our newly formed Magi Inspired Workouts Database.
Our Sinbad workout was with weights and Morgiana was calisthenics, and Alibaba will also come in as a new one for all of our bodyweight training members of The SHJ Army and land within our calisthenics workouts as well.
That said, with the popularity among the last two, I’m sure we’ll have more Magi characters coming in and filling up our new database until it eventually is big enough to have it’s own slot among our Anime Workouts Database.
Alibaba Saluja Stats:
Real Name: Alibaba Saluja
Height: 5’7
Weight: 141 lbs.
Anime: Magi
Powers: Yes
Alibaba comes in at just 5’7, which would formerly be considered around average height for male anime characters, but now is actually quite short since we’ve seen so many and the average range has grown.
That said, he’s also just about a full foot off of what we’d consider a behemoth among our male characters as well.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Alibaba Saluja Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Alibaba Saluja Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Alibaba Saluja we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which starts with this for his bio section:
Alibaba Saluja is the third prince of the Balbadd Kingdom, a Dungeon Capturer who has conquered Amon, and Aladdin’s King Vessel. Falling from grace and growing on the street of Balbadd, he became a wandering merchant in Qishan, then the vice leader of the Fog Troupe with his old friend Cassim after his conquest in Amon, where they abolished the monarchy of Balbadd and turning it into a republic, before its sovereign debt annexation by Kou Empire under Kouen Ren. Alibaba was then taken in Sinbad of the Seven Seas Alliance, and received an apprenticeship with Sharrkan Amun-Ra, and companionship with Hakuryuu Ren and Kougyoku Ren.
They actually go on with another larger bio paragraph, but this should be good enough to get us started.
When we move down into his appearance section they don’t really make much mention to his muscular, toned aesthetic, but they do bring up his training in the Reim Empire to mention the scars he obtained while there.
From there they have a LONG list of arcs and biography sections to describe them, but we can skip down into his abilities which we learn a lot from, especially his physical abilities that are described here:
Alibaba is an extremely strong and talented swordsman. At a very young age, Alibaba was trained in swordplay. He has also learned other sword styles from Sharrkan making him a more rounded swordsman. He was able to copy the exact moves Sharrkan did on him, to Toto. After his training in Reim, he was able to fight and wound Reim’s strongest swordsman, Muu Alexius, showing his vast improvement of skill. After returning to his body Alibaba -thanks to his increased concentration- showed the ability to see an enemy moving far slower than normal, this allowed him to fight a group of thieves easily.
Alibaba was given a high level of education possible in the Royal Palace of Balbadd after the king adopted him. He knows difficult languages like Torran Language and possesses high knowledge. After his time in the Dark Continent, he has gained a plethora of knowledge from the Alma Torran magicians of that age. At that time he also gained the ability to increase his concentration in order to think faster and get more information far faster than a regular human, this allowed him to go through all documents related with the Kou Empire, a normal human would need several years for this feat while Alibaba managed it in less than two weeks.
They actually list his abilities scale (out of 5, being the highest level) as follows:
- Quantity of Magoi: 3/5
- Fighting Ability: 4/5
- Physical Strength: 3/5
- Technique: 3/5
- Leadership Ability: 3/5
- Wisdom: 4/5
So we aren’t dealing with a character that is insanely overpowered in terms of physical strength, but he still is an incredibly strong swordsman with an immense amount of body control, speed, strength and overall agility.
For this one, as I’ve already mentioned, we’ll be training using bodyweight (calisthenics) training, and we’ll go into it training almost similar to what we would use for an assassin-style training methodology.
That means the goals for our Alibaba Saluja Inspired Workout are:
- Alibaba’s Lean and Toned Muscular Physique
- Alibaba’s Swordsman Strength and Speed
- Alibaba’s Swordsman Body Control (Nimbleness) and Agility
We’ll need a good amount of core strength and we’ll also be looking to level up our body control (calisthenics) over time, so that will come from increased difficulty in the movements we choose, and also longer duration or more reps.
This one won’t be too difficult for an intermediate level lifter to jump right into, and can even be scaled down for a beginner, but both The Beginner Ninja Workout and even The Beginner Speedster Workout would be good options from our Beginner Workouts to start with before leveling up to this one if it seems a bit too hard to get right into.

Alibaba Saluja Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
We’ve had gymnast and acrobat training here at SHJ that we’ve researched from some of the world’s best, but I’m going to take pieces of that and scale it way back to mix into Alibaba’s routine so we can work towards replicating not only his toned and muscular physique, but also his body control as a swordsman. We’ll have 3 days of calisthenics training, a day devoted to endurance and a final day that will be custom to Alibaba entirely which is a Magoi Circuit Test you can complete weekly, biweekly or monthly as you’d prefer to fit in. On the weeks you don’t add it you can do more swordsman endurance work which will help you shred down fat as well.
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
