We recently had our first behemoth enter our Tokyo Revengers Inspired Workouts Database with the inclusion of our Taiju Shiba Inspired Workout and now we’re back for an even bigger monster.
South Terano stands five inches taller and nearly 75 lbs. larger than Shiba, so don’t be surprised that we’re going to be revolving around some insane mass for this one.
Both characters are fun additions considering we’re used to getting much smaller/slender fighters from Tokyo Revengers, with even Mikey and Draken being considered fairly muscular in comparison.

As I mentioned above: South Terano is absolutely gigantic.
He comes in making it easily amongst our behemoths within the Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

South Terano Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

South Terano Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about South Terano I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with his brief bio section that tells us a little about where he fits into the anime/manga:
Minami Terano, or South Terano, was the Representative of Rokuhara Tandai. He is the main antagonist in Three Deities Arc.
From there we could technically skip over his appearance section considering we know what we’re working with for this one, but I’m going to share some of the information because it gives some more background too.
Here’s how they break it down:
South was a tall muscular individual with slight foreign features who significantly dwarfed his companions. He had blond hair often kept in a bun, piercing yellow round eyes that contributed to his intimidating demeanor, and a wide prominent grin on his face. He bore a Brazilian tribal tattoo design on the rightmost side of his chest that extended up to his neck and a gunshot wound on the left. South was most often seen wearing the traditional Rokuhara Tandai uniform, but would habitually go shirtless from time to time.
At five years old, South had average height and a slender build. He had platinum clean-cut hair and walked around barefoot. As he grew, he distinctly gained more muscle. He shaved his hair at twelve years old, but eventually grew it out to its relatively short length before his death.
We’ll clearly be working around his physique that is massive and muscular.
From there we can move down into his powers and abilities that actually start with his authority:
Before being crowned as one of the Three Deities, South pronounced himself as the leader of Rokuhara Tandai, an influential and powerful motorcycle gang established during Tokyo Civil War Era. South was recognized to be on par with Manjiro Sano and Senju Kawaragi authority wise. When he was twelve years old, he became the leader of Dino South, a small yet fearsome gang that ran a favela in Rio de Janeiro, his hometown.
This doesn’t really change how we’ll be building out the workout, but it’s good background information regardless.
More importantly, here’s how they describe his physical abilities and fighting skills:
Physical Abilities: South had immense physical strength and precision for he was capable of hurling Seishu Inui with one hand while steering his motorcycle with the other. He was a great ferocious fighter, formerly recognized for his powerful blows that knocked Kakucho and the S-62 Generation off their feet, and eventually Ken Ryuguji, who he punched after he declined his offer to join Rokuhara Tandai. When he was twelve, South had the capacity to kill Dino, his mentor and guardian throughout his childhood. While South normally struck first in a battle, his physical abilities also shone light on his endurance and strong defense.
Fighting Prowess: With the help of his physical abilities, South fought in a callous style: wide, crude, yet Herculean punches and hooks. He had a habit of relating his punches to musical dynamics as an indicator of his love for music ever since childhood. When he launched a regular hook, he often yelled, “forte (ƒ),” meaning strong; when he dealt a heavy blow, he yelled “fortissimo (ƒƒ),” meaning very strong.[9] South fighting prowess are proved even further when he defeated Waka and Benkei with relatively ease and defeated Senju right after although he is soon defeated by Mikey awakening his dark impulses ultimately leading to South’s death right after.
We already knew we were going to be working around strength and mass, but this solidifies that even more.
That means the goals for our South Terano Inspired Workout are going to be:
- South Terano’s Massive Muscular Aesthetic
- South Terano’s Immense Physical Strength
- South Terano’s Fighter Endurance and Speed
These goals will also be focused on in this order as well.
Our Taiju Shiba workout was already pretty intense and high volume, and I’ll admit that was warranted considering Taiju’s aesthetic is more shredded and muscular than South Terano, but South Terano does have more overall mass considering his frame and weight while still bring defined.
For that reason, we can expect to lift heavier and even more focused on strength.
