Taesoo Ma is absolutely massive, and he’s going to be joining our Lookism Workouts as one of the biggest along with characters like Tom Lee and Samuel Seo.
He came in as one of the strongest Lookism characters on our list, and we will definitely be using weights to achieve our goals for this one.
That means if you’re part of our bodyweight members of The SHJ Army you’ll likely want to jump back into our calisthenics workouts and find a different Lookism character or skim through any of the other hundreds of characters and celebrities we have in there for a different program.
But if you’re ready to train with heavy weights and get jacked, you’ve come to the right place.
Taesoo Ma Stats:
Real Name: Taesoo Ma
Height: 6’6
Weight: N/A
Anime/Manga: Lookism
Powers: No
Taesoo Ma not only joins the big characters in our Lookism database, but he also comes in joining the behemoth category inside our entire Anime Workouts Database.
Coming in at the exact height we’d consider a character a behemoth, Taesoo Ma finds himself in elite company.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Taesoo Ma Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Taesoo Ma Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Taesoo Ma we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom, starting with his extremely brief, but necessary bio section here:
Taesoo Ma is the former King of Ansan, and one of the Kings of the 1st Generation.
They tell us a bit more when we move down into his appearance section we learn some more information about what we’ll be working around for this workout, but not much that we didn’t already know:
Taesoo Ma is a muscular, tall, hulking man. He has black, messy, medium length hair that is held back by a black headband. He has a rugged face paired with facial hair, he has a missing right eye and scar in that area. His missing eye was a result from his fight with James Lee years ago and is now replaced with a removable fake eye.
At least it helps anyone looking to cosplay as him, I suppose.
When we move down into his fighting abilities we can start by discussing what they tell us here:
He does not appear to have learned any martial arts. His most notable quality in a fight used to be his use of only the right hand, earning him the title of “King of Ansan”. His right hand was so trained to the point that he was able to crack the forearm of the perfect body of Daniel, and, together with his left hand, he was able to break walls during his 2nd fight with James Lee.
However, according to James Lee, even though Taesoo Ma is physically stronger than what he was in the past, evident that Taesoo’s fist could reach James himself (even though James is rusty and holding back), because he discarded his belief and trained his left hand for revenge on James he would never be able to beat him as he would be subconsciously holding himself back because he went against his belief.
They make immediate mention to how strong Taesoo Ma is, which is something we knew were were going to need to train around for this one.
From there they also go on to tell us a bit more:
Although he doesn’t have any learned techniques or martial arts, he was able to hold his own against the Legend of the 1st Generation, James Lee. His “hardware” is extremely strong, being able to tank multiple hits from a “self-hatred mode” Daniel, Zack (with chains), and a vengeful Vasco, after all that, was still eager to fight 3 of them at the same time.
Also considering in the fight on chapter 428 between James Lee and the J-High trio, he is still greater than them as they couldn’t keep up and barely managed to hit James (as James didn’t take them seriously and wasn’t intimated in the slightest by them), but in the second fight between Taesoo Ma and James, James was actually intimidated a little bit (as James stated that Taesoo got too strong that its frightening) showing that Taesoo is still greater than the trio (during the Hunt for Big Deal arc) combined. (But that may not be true currently as Daniel Park (OG/Main Body) went against Jichang Kwak who is stated by Daniel to be on par with Gun brute strength wise and has beat Taesoo in the past).
We’ll need to focus in on the strength, size, and fighter endurance for this one – but not much else when it comes to a fight background.
That means the goals for our Taesoo Ma Inspired Workout are going to be as follows:
- Taesoo Ma’s Massive Muscular Physique
- Taesoo Ma’s Incredible Strength and Speed
- Taesoo Ma’s Fighter Endurance
The main goals will obviously be the overall mass and strength, but we’ll need to tack on some endurance work as well.
This one might seem like it’s fairly high volume, but you can easily scale it back by cutting out some extra movements and scaling down the weight you personally use.
That said, you can also choose to start with The Beginner Behemoth Workout, which would be the best choice among our Beginner Workouts to level up to this one.
Check out all The SHJ Programs and start unleashing your inner SuperHuman.
Taesoo Ma Workout Routine
