We’ve had other databases from Manhwa like Viral Hit and Lookism get massive here at Superhero Jacked, and now you guys have sent in a ton of requests for Gamin Yoon of Study Group.
Among other manhwa characters I have planned for the coming weeks.
For this one we’re going to be building it out around bodyweight training, so you’ll find him inside the calisthenics workouts with some of our other shredded martial artists.
But I promise to make sure it can be used by beginner to advanced members looking to scale up, and will even give a perfect beginner alternative if you’re an ultra-beginner!
Gamin Yoon Stats:
Real Name: Gamin Yoon
Height: 5’10
Weight: N/A
Manhwa: Study Group
Powers: No
Gamin Yoon is actually fairly tall compared to male anime characters we’ve seen inside The Anime Workouts Database.
But, he’s still about seven inches off of what we’d consider a behemoth among them.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Gamin Yoon Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Gamin Yoon Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Gamin Yoon I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with his brief bio section here:
Gamin Yoon is the main protagonist of the manhwa, Study Group. He’s a first year high school student with a dream of entering a 4-year university and becoming a college student. He is the founder of the Yusong Vocational Engineering High Study Group.
I’m also going to be adding a piece of his background section being that it’s extremely relevant to our research.
Here’s what they share with us:
Everyone that knows Gamin, can be sure to say that he sucks at studying, but that never really stopped him from chasing his other goals. He wants to do well and works hard when studying yet, no matter how much time and effort he spends, his grades never improve. Being a huge Bruce Lee fan, Gamin secretly trained in Jeet Kune Do with his uncle. He does a morning-calisthenics session for about 2 hours everyday right after he wakes up.
Yup, you read that right.
He trains in martial arts AND 2 hours everyday when he wakes up.
So while I’ll be looking to make this scalable for all levels – it will still need to lean towards being an high skill routine.
When we move into his abilities section we learn even more about what our focuses need to be:
Gamin’s martial arts style is called ‘Jeet Kune Do’, a martial arts invented and made famous by Bruce Lee, which consists of every martial art he ever learnt. In short, this is basically the first form of Modern MMA.
Stamina: Gamin possess astounding stamina, able to fight multiple opponents at once, either separately in a row or a gang assault.
Power: Despite his thin appearance, Gamin’s raw strength is something you do not ever wish to underestimate. According to one of the people who bullied Sehyun Lee, his power is even greater than Kang Taeo, the former No. 1 of Yusong High’s freshman year fighting ranks. This is also shown in Chapter 34, where he could incorporate his monstrous strength in snaps.
‘Technique: Not only does he possess exceptional stamina and power, Gamin is also really good when it comes to his martial arts form. His punches always possess fluidity without diminishing their strength, making them deadly‘. The same can be said about Gamin’s kicks, his ‘leg muscle and joint endurance’ being quite high, able to do five sidekicks (each at a different height) without putting the kicking leg down for even a moment.
Uncle’s Forbidden Techniques: The Uncle’s Forbidden Technique (or “UFT“) is a technique used by Gamin and forbidden by his Uncle, due to the fact that it can easily overpower him whenever they used it during sparring sessions.
That means our Gamin Yoon Inspired Workout goals will be:
- Gamin Yoon’s Shredded Aesthetic
- Gamin Yoon’s Martial Arts Mobility
- Gamin Yoon’s Stamina and Strength
As I’ve mentioned a few times now, this one will be built around bodyweight training, but will still be intense.
That said, I’m going to be looking to make it so almost any member can jump right in with a bit of scaling.
If you’re a bit intimidated by it, you can also start with our Beginner Speedster Workout, which is a perfect starting point to move up into this one (though any of The Beginner Workouts are great).
Check out all The SHJ Programs and start unleashing your inner SuperHuman.
Gamin Yoon Workout Routine
Training Volume:
4-5 days per week
Explanation:
For this one we’ll be training with high intensity to focus on Gamin Yoon’s overall volume and stamina, as well as building a ton of strength. We’ll have 4 days of calisthenics circuits that you can take slow (remember, he trains 2 hours every morning, on top of his mixed martial arts), and then a fifth day that can either be used for extra endurance work, or a Jeet Kune Do Circuit Test.
Jump Rope Scaling Guide:
Scale Jump Rope Skips to Jumping Jacks or Toe Taps onto a DB or KB or Stair. Also scale from 100 to 30-50 reps as needed.
Beginner Scaling Guide:
If you want to jump right into this one instead of starting with a beginner workout you can cut the jump rope and then also cut the circuits/supersets entirely and just go through the workouts in regular sets.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
