We haven’t had a character from Sakamoto Days since we had Taro Sakamoto, so I’m excited to be finally getting Nagumo added to the site.
He was technically scheduled for February because we didn’t quite have enough requests for him, but I decided to use my executive authority to push him up a bit.
He has been on the list for a while, and as soon as he got there I knew how I was going to be building out his routine, so this one is definitely going to be a fun one.
I’ve been waiting for it for a while now!
We’re going to be building around calisthenics training, but it will be pretty intense considering he is a strong character (and assassin); so be ready for it!
Nagumo Stats:
Real Name: Nagumo
Height: 6’2
Weight: 171 lbs.
Anime: Sakamoto Days
Powers: Yes
Nagumo is actually pretty tall.
He’s only about four inches off what would be considered a behemoth among male anime characters within our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Nagumo Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Nagumo Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Nagumo I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page here:
Nagumo is an old friend of Taro Sakamoto and a member of the Order, a group consisting of the strongest assassins in the JAA. He is first seen paying a visit to Sakamoto to inform him of his bounty.
This obviously doesn’t tell us THAT much, but just alone knowing he’s a member of the Order is enough to warrant including it and knowing it for what we’ll need to utilize because it means he’s extremely strong.
From there I want to immediately move down into his powers and abilities section.
Here’s how they start us off with his overall abilities:
Overall Skill Level: As a member of the Order, Nagumo is one of the strongest assassins in the JAA. His combat skills are at an extremely high level, enough to be classified as S-rank on the hit list given by Kashima. He was able to kill Minimalist with ease.
Now we’re talkin’!
This really puts it more into perspective for us and shows you why I’ll be building this one out with a lot of intensity.
From there they go into some more specifics of his abilities:
Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Nagumo is capable of moving at extreme speeds, being fast enough to instantaneously disappear from a person’s sight. He can move so quick that he managed to catch even Shin, a trained assassin and psychic, off guard as well as decapitate Minimalist without any resistance. Assassins working under Slur were unable to pinpoint or react to him, even as he sat on top of and inside their cars and massacred them. Also, Nagumo was able to react to attacks from Yotsumura, a formidable, former member of the Order.
Enhanced Strength: Nagumo has incredible physical strength despite his somewhat skinny appearance. He was able to lift Minimalist, a large man, by the neck with one hand and stab through a car roof and someone’s arm with a casual stab. He is strong enough to contend with Yotsumura’s attacks which could slice through the steel supports of a car carrier trailer.
Master of Disguise: Nagumo can perfectly copy other people’s appearances, which he used to fool Lu Shaotang by disguising as Sakamoto. He can also disguise others, including significantly altering someone’s body shape, such as disguising the fat Sakamoto as his wife, Aoi. When disguising Sakamoto, Nagumo says the disguise would only last for twenty four hours, however, whether this time limit varies depending on the person or even applies to himself is unknown.
This pretty much sums it up for us.
The goals of our Nagumo Inspired Workout are:
- Nagumo’s Slim and Toned Aesthetic
- Nagumo’s Enhanced Stength and Speed
- Nagumo’s Assassin Mobility
As I mentioned already: we’ll be building this one out around intensity, so you’ll want to be ready.
If you’re not, you can also start with one of our Beginner Workouts, with the best options being The Beginner Speedster or The Beginner Ninja.
That said, if you want to start with this one you can also choose to scale it down a bit.
