Kaiju No. 8 anime is coming, and I can’t wait.
It was one of the earliest releases into our Anime Workouts Database while it was still a manga that we’ve had, and that’s because of how much I loved it.
My favorite manga of all time is Jujutsu Kaisen, but Kaiju No. 8 is up there on the list.
Which is why, in case you missed it, we immediately got our Kaiju No. 8 Inspired Workouts mini-database and it continues growing.
Iharu Furuhashi Stats:
Real Name: Iharu Furuhashi
Height: 5’8
Weight: N/A
Anime: Kaiju No. 8
Powers: Yes
Iharu is right around average height compared to male anime characters we’ve seen at SHJ so far.
That said, he’s nearly a foot under what we’d consider a behemoth among them.
Vegeta were tied Wolverine for the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Iharu Furuhashi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Iharu Furuhashi Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Iharu Furuhashi I’ll be pulling from his Wiki Fandom starting with his bio section here:
Iharu Furuhashi is a young officer of the Third Division of the Defense Force. After the destruction of Tachikawa Base, he was transferred to the Fourth Division.
They don’t offer that much more depth on Iharu in terms of bio section other than some of his personality and even his appearance section really only talks about his cool hair – but at least we get more depth on his actual abilities.
Here’s how they break it down for us:
Overall Abilities: Iharu is a strong young officer within the Defense Force, easily proving to be one of the best rookies of his year. Before joining the Defense Force, he ranked number one in his class constantly, being the strongest of his peers. In battle, Iharu is skilled and determinated enough to follow the likes of Leno Ichikawa and provide him support even against major threats like Kaiju No. 9. He was even likened to a division captain of Jugo Ogata’s caliber, due to his innate abilities with his suit.
From there they add some more depth for us, but this already tells us we will have our work cut out for us.
High Unleashed Combat Power: Iharu was initially able to release 14% of his combat suit’s power and later 20% after two months. Iharu’s current stable released force is 24%, allowing him to keep up with Leno and easily break big chunks of ice. However, Iharu’s released suit power reaches remarkable spikes when he’s engaging an enemy, going from a mere 24% to a full 42% in seconds, even unpredictably fluctuating back and forth. According to Captain Ogata, who even likened Iharu to himself, Iharu’s released power is on par with Ichikawa and he has potential to become a great soldier.
Enhanced strength: Iharu possesses enough physical brawn to easily break through ice, and carry injured teammates on his back for long distances.
Enhanced speed: During one of his combat power spikes, Iharu is able to evade attacks from Honju.
This shows us a lot more about what we need to know to build out our workout for Iharu.
Which brings us to the goals for our Iharu Furuhashi Inspired Workout:
- Iharu Furuhashi Lean and Athletic Physique
- Iharu Furuhashi Enhanced Strength and Speed
- Iharu Furuhashi Defense Force Style Training
We’re actually going to be building this one out around bodyweight training.
So Iharu will fall within our Calisthenics Workouts, and at around an intermediate level.
Which means if you’re a beginner, it might be better to start with either our Beginner Ninja Workout or our Beginner Speedster Workout.
