We’re finally bringing in Haruka Sakura!
With the release and popularity of Wind Breaker, it’s about time he’s getting his place inside our Anime Workouts Database.
That said, you guys made it pretty clear you want this one built out around bodyweight training, so he will also be landing inside our Calisthenics Workouts Database.
So if you’re looking to train with weights you’ll want to hop into the databases and choose one of the other workouts (don’t worry, we have thousands).
Haruka Sakura Stats:
Real Name: Haruka Sakura
Height: 5’6
Weight: 130 lbs.
Anime: Wind Breaker
Powers: Yes
Hakura Sakura is actually pretty short, but would be considered average among younger male anime characters.
Though he’d be below average if we compared him to the majority of characters we have seen.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Haruka Sakura Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Haruka Sakura Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Haruka Sakura we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with his bio section here:
Haruka Sakura is the protagonist of the WIND BREAKER manga series. He is a first-year student at Furin High School and member of Bofurin’s Vaisravana Unit as well as the first year Grade Captain. Constantly judged by his physical appearance, Sakura adopts a delinquent persona that others have projected onto him and moves to Makochi to attend Furin High, an infamously rough school, and fight his way to the top.
This doesn’t tell us much about what we’ll have to build our workout around, but we’re making our way there.
It’s nothing we’re not used to here at Superhero Jacked.
His appearance section doesn’t break down much, but since this one will be cosplay oriented as well (built around his physique), we are going to take a look anyways:
Sakura is a teenager of average height and weight. His hair is naturally split in color – half black, half white – and he has heterochromia, with his right eye color blue and his left color yellow. He is commonly seen wearing the standard Furin High uniform consisting of a plain white t-shirt underneath his gakuran jacket, green pants, and a pair of black sneakers.
And when we move into his powers and abilities, we don’t have much, so I’ll be sharing from multiple sources.
His Fandom shares this:
Gymnastics: Sakura is seen having a great amount of flexibility. Being able to wall-jump between buildings, while also incorporating it into his fighting.
Which isn’t much to go on, technically, but tells us a lot about how we’ll be building this one.
His Heroes Fandom also lists these skills for us:
Exceptional hand-to-hand and close combat, Expert martial artist, High reflexes, Exceptional agility, High leap, High physical strength and Gymnastics
Which build a bit on what we know and help us confirm what we want to aim for here.
The goals of our Haruko Sakura Inspired Workout are going to be:
- Haruka Sakura’s Lean & Toned Aesthetic
- Haruka Sakura’s Gymnastic Abilities
- Haruka Sakura’s Strength and Agility
I’ll be keeping this one built around a beginner to intermediate level, so you shouldn’t have to scale down to much to dive right into this one.
That said, if it does seem a bit daunting, you can start with one of our Beginner Workouts and then level up to this.
