The SHJ Army made a strong stand recently and pushed for us to get more Jojo Inspired Workouts on the site.
For that reason I’m not only adding one but TWO new Joestar characters to go with our current list.
Josuke is a character I’m actually not as familiar with as I am Jonathan Joestar, Dio Brando and my personal favorite: Jotaro Kujo; but I’m excited to be able to dive into the universe a bit more this week and even learn about some of the characters I haven’t yet been introduced to.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has shown up a few times now on lists like The Best Anime to Watch on Hulu and The Best Anime to Watch on Netflix; as well as having Kujo added to The Most Powerful Anime Characters of All Time.
So adding more to our Anime Workouts Database is always welcomed.
Josuke Higashikata Stats:
Real Name: Josuke Higashikata
Height: 6’0
Weight: 180 lbs.
Anime: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
Powers: Yes
Josuke’s slim and leaned structure is actually quite muscular and his 180 lbs. proves that more.
And his 6’0 frame is actually fairly tall compared to other male anime characters we’ve seen.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Josuke Higashikata Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Josuke Higashikata Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with what we need to learn about Josuke we’re going to be pulling right from his Jojo Wiki page.
They actually have a decent amount of information for his biography, leading with:
“Josuke Higashikata (Higashikata Jōsuke) is the main protagonist of the fourth part of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, Diamond is Unbreakable, and the fourth JoJo of the series. He is the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar and Tomoko Higashikata.
Josuke is a biracial (half-Japanese and half-British) high school first-year residing in the town of Morioh. In the year 1999, he meets Jotaro Kujo, who informs him that he is Joseph’s illegitimate son. After his grandfather dies, Josuke takes it upon himself to protect his beloved town from malevolent Stand Users.
Josuke is a Stand User that wields Crazy Diamond, a Stand with the power to repair almost anything.”
And when they talk about his appearance they state:
Josuke is a tall, young man of average build. His most prominent feature is his well-maintained pompadour, styled after that of an unknown man who saved his life as a child.[6] His pompadour has a tendency to become spiky with his mood, such as when he is irritated or angry.
The reason why I mention this is because Josuke isn’t necessarily ginormous like we’re used to seeing among our Jojo characters, but that doesn’t mean he’s not extremely fit.
Aside from his Stand, Josuke also has quite an impressive physical fitness section:
Physical Fitness: Josuke possesses substantial athletic ability. He has been shown once to have successfully chased down a moving bus over long distances completely on foot, and can handle a heavy motorbike effortlessly for the first and only time riding it while achieving many otherwise professional feats during a high-speed chase in attempts to avoid direct contacts with the enemy chasing after him. The most well known demonstration of Josuke’s physical toughness is shown when he withstands exposure to several explosions generated by Yoshikage Kira’s Killer Queen, sustaining heavy injuries and blood loss but remaining conscious enough to think of countermeasures and tactics.
And while his Stand doesn’t really help us to build our routine, I still think it’s fair if we cover it in this section.
Here’s what his Jojo Wiki tells us about it:
Josuke’s Stand, Crazy Diamond, can restore objects (and organisms) to a previous state in their history.
It is able to repair damage and heal injuries. It can also revert an item to its components (e.g. a wooden table into lumber).
With this, Crazy Diamond may perform a range of interesting feats; including trapping (parts of) an enemy by restoring pieces of a broken object around it; and tracking, accomplished by restoring something such as a torn piece of clothing, which seeks to reattach itself to the original article.
However, this Stand is not without limits: Crazy Diamond can only restore state, not life, hence a lifeless body would still remain dead even after being “fixed” by Crazy Diamond’s power. Also, the healing power cannot be used on Josuke himself, or strictly speaking, anything that can be considered a part of his current self, body, or even his own clothes.
For this one we know we still need to be physically fit.
We also know, with that and the fact that his overall weight indicates he’s fairly heavy for his height while still lean, he has a fair amount of muscle on him.
For that reason we’ll be training with calisthenics, but with a higher volume and with a bit more advancement than we may normally use.
Think you can handle it?
