From one Demon Slayer Hashira to another, we’re back but this time for our Wind Hashira!
We just recently added Obanai Iguro to our Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts, and I mentioned wanting to continue on with our Hashira, so Sanemi is definitely our next big one that we’re missing.
Sanemi joined our list of the Most Powerful Demon Slayer Characters, and he’s actually our LAST current Demon Slayer Corps Hashira that we needed to add to SHJ.
Our Anime Workouts Database is damn proud.
He’s also going to make a great addition to our Demon Slayer Workout Placement Quiz that helps you guys find the best Demon Slayer inspired workout specifically for you.
Sanemi Shinazugawa Stats:
Real Name: Sanemi Shinazugawa
Height: 5’10 1/2
Weight: 165 lbs.
Anime: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
Demon Slayer is actually pretty great about giving extremely precise height and weight.
Sanemi comes in MUCH taller than Obanai, and actually at a taller range than a lot of the male characters we’ve seen – just not quite at Tengan and Gyomei’s level.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Sanemi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Sanemi Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with our Wind Hashira research we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page.
They give us a bio section that leads with:
Sanemi Shinazugawa is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the current Wind Hashira.
Sanemi is also the older brother of Genya Shinazugawa, a Demon Slayer. Before becoming a Hashira, Sanemi, along with his partner Masachika Kumeno, defeated the former Lower Rank One, Ubume, with Masachika dying as a result.
And while that doesn’t tell us all that much about what we’ll be working with, it is more than we’re used to compared to some other Fandom pages.
The fact that he is a Demon Slayer Corps Hashira also tells us a ton as fans of Demon Slayer.
When we move into his powers and abilities section they actually start with a very brief portion about his overall powers and abilities, stating:
Overall Abilities: As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Sanemi is a very powerful swordsman. According to Kokushibo, Sanemi’s physical abilities and techniques have reached their peak.
From there they do go on to tell us a ton about Sanemi’s Demon Slayer Mark, but I’m going to skip it due to the fact that there is a TON of depth for each one of his abilities that we’re going to be training around.
Here’s how they break it down:
Enhanced Strength: Due to years of harsh training, Sanemi has honed his strength to an incredible caliber. During the Hashira Meeting, he lifted Nezuko Kamado in her box with a single hand without effort. In the Hashira Training Arc, he knocked out Zenitsu Agatsuma with a single strike, broke a wooden sword just by simply swinging it, and caused the ear of Tanjiro Kamado to be cut and bleed with a single kick.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: As the second strongest Hashira of the current generation, Sanemi possesses incredible movement speed. During the Hashira Training Arc, when he was disputing with Tanjiro Kamado about his brother, Genya Shinazugawa, Sanemi managed to blitz him, moving using a burst of speed so fast it made it seem like he teleported. In his battle against Kokushibo, he managed to keep up with his insanely quick movements, which even a marked Muichiro Tokito described to be “in a different dimension”.
Immense Stamina & Endurance: Sanemi has displayed incredible stamina and endurance. Despite sustaining dozens of scars and cuts all over his body, he never once showed signs of pain or agony, to the point he was willing to cut himself with his katana to test Nezuko Kamado, and didn’t even flinch. In the Sunrise Countdown Arc, he could fight the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji for almost an hour straight, exerting his physical and mental capabilities to its limit without tiring to severely. When Muzan was cornered, he was one of the first ones to take action, having enough energy to unleash 2 more Wind Breathing techniques.
Marechi: Sanemi’s blood was revealed to be one of the rarest blood types, making it incredibly intoxicating and mouth watering to Demons. It is also unique due to its intense potency that the smallest whiff of his blood immediately causes Demons to salivate and lose focus, as his blood was able to affect the strongest of the Upper Ranks, Kokushibo. Despite his blood’s potency, Nezuko was shown to be able to resist it due to her own strong conviction and will not to eat humans, which is even further cemented and strengthened by the hypnosis planted in her brain by Sakonji Urokodaki.
Muscle Control: Sanemi has also shown the ability to manipulate his own muscles to close up and prevent fatal and mortal wounds from opening up and bleeding out during mid battle, as seen when he was fatally slashed and cut up across his abdomen by Kokushibo, he was still able to fight on by manipulating his own muscles to close up his wounds.
Weapon Flexibility: In his battle against Kokushibo, Sanemi used his brother’s sword and gun in conjunction with his own blade, albeit briefly. Furthermore, when fighting Muzan, he utilized fire by dumping oil on the Demon and lighting it.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to teach you anything that will enable you to have one of the rarest blood types, and we won’t be working on mastering different types of guns and swords, BUT we will be working around his strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, endurance and even muscle control.
For the muscle control factor we’ll be adding in more holds than we’re used to seeing, but for the actual training functionality we’ll be sticking to what has been working and even tacking on some more of our 90 Day Core System functionality that has even been used to train new U.S. Marines.
So get ready for frequent holds for control mixed in with circuit style training, weights for added strength, and even endurance work right on top.
