I told you guys we were on a bit of a Bleach kick and I wasn’t kidding.
We started with only have two fan-favorites (Ichigo and Yoruichi), and then we jumped back and we’re on our fourth new character in two weeks.
I even pushed up and prioritized adding our Bleach Inspired Workouts into their own mini-database within our larger Anime Workouts Database.
From there I plan on also getting a Bleach specific quiz to join our Workout Placement Quizzes as well – but I don’t want to get TOO far ahead of ourselves.
We’ll see who you guys want next once we roll out some listicles.
Uryu Ishida Stats:
Real Name: Uryu Ishida
Height: 5’9
Weight: 125 lbs.
Anime: Bleach
Powers: Yes
Like Byakuya, Uryu is moderately tall compared to other male anime characters, but extremely light.
They do have some similar abilities, and their physiques are both similar in the sense of being lean and tone – so it does check out.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Uryu Ishida Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Uryu Ishida Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
Kickstarting our Uryu Ishida research we’re going to be pulling directly from his Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s how they lead us off:
Uryū Ishida is a Gemischt Quincy residing in Karakura Town. He is a doctor at Karakura Hospital, and a friend of Ichigo Kurosaki. He is a former member of the Wandenreich’s Sternritter with the designation “A” – “Antithesis”, formerly one of Yhwach’s Schutzstaffel, and was once designated as his future successor.
They describe his appearance (at least the portion we care about) as such:
Uryū Ishida is a bespectacled teenager of average height and slender build.
Which is basically what I was breaking down when we talked about his actual height and weight and the fact that he was quite light for his range.
Moving into his powers and abilities section we get another extremely long list.
This time I am going to be pulling out some specifics that I think are fun to share for Uryu, and then I’ll give a full bullet point breakdown.
Here’s how they start us off:
Antithesis: Uryū can designate any two targets and completely reverse anything that has already occurred between the two of them. For example, if Uryū were to be greatly injured while fighting an opponent, he could reverse what occurred between himself and his enemy, simultaneously healing himself while grievously wounding his opponent.
While this isn’t something we can use for our training, it’s important to note as part of Uryu’s abilities.
I think it’s also important to discuss his spirit weapon:
Heilig Bogen: After joining the Wandenreich, Uryū wields a new, light-colored bow. It is roughly as tall as he is and has semi-straight arms tapering off into points, with the handle being significantly thinner than the rest of the bow is. While facing Jugram Haschwalth later on, Uryū uses a bow with four long prongs and two spikes extending from the center.
We’ve seen some other bowman here at SHJ, so we’ll be using some of those tactics into the training.
But, finally, let’s breakdown some of the long list of abilities and then highlight the ones we’ll need to focus in on:
- Auswählen Immunity
- Reishi Manipulation
- Gintō Expert
- Master Archer
- Expert Swordsman
- Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant
- Spiritual Awareness
- High Spiritual Power
- Excellent Intellect & Athleticism
So for this we’ll be really honing in on his athleticism, archery skills, swordsmanship and hand to hand combat.
For that we’re going to do a mix of calisthenics and hit training – but I’ll also give some options to work in mixed martial arts and parkour as well to really bring out our Uryu Ishida!
We’re going to be pulling from training styles we’ve seen within our Assassin Calisthenics programming, which has even been used to train new U.S. Marines.
Get ready for some intensity, but don’t be afraid to scale if needed.
