With our Unofficial Baki Workout Booklet releasing this week, the same week we finally get Baki Hanma on Netflix – we obviously need to add Jun Guevara to SHJ.
How can we have our Baki Inspired Workouts within our larger Anime Workouts Database without “Number Two”?
Trick question. We can’t do it.
We’ve already seen so many powerful characters, so it’s surprising we can even add another to our list of some of the strongest characters – but here we are.
We also have our Baki Workout Placement Quiz now, so if you need help picking the best workout routine FOR YOU, that would be a great start.
Jun Guevara Stats:
Real Name: Jun Guevara
Height: 5’8-5’10
Weight: 220-280 lbs.
Anime: Baki
Powers: Yes
There’s no specific stats for Jun Guevara, but he’s shown to stand face to face with Biscuit Oliva, just slightly below, and Oliva is listed at 5’11.
With his insane muscle mass and physique overall, and from what we know about Baki characters, we can also guess his weight is far higher than a normal “jacked” man at his height.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Jun Guevara Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Jun Guevara Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
If you’ve already seen Baki Hanma, Netflix’s newest Baki series, you know how powerful Jun Guevara is.
To start off our research, though, we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they give us as an intro:
Jun Guevaru or Jun Guevara, wrongly romanized as Che Guevara in the English Fan-Translation, is a fictional character from manga series of Hanma Baki. In the Baki series, he is an ‘alternative universe’ version of the famous Che Guevara that already exists.
And since they don’t give us all that much to go on, I’m also going to pull some information from his personality section.
They lead off with a decent bit:
He is a former pirate of the high seas who went on to found his own sovereign nation of ‘La Serna’. Guevaru is one of the two “free men” in the Arizona prison, along with Biscuit Oliva. He is notorious for his radical political philosophy, his anti-captitalist and more specifically anti-US stance (the crime he is presumably imprisoned for is that he broke into George Bosch’s house and threatened his family, after Bosch considered using bullying military tactics against La Serna), and his harsh discipline. He is show as a very confident and at times somewhat arrogant men that never once doubts his fighting abilities. Like Biscuit Oliva and Yuujiro Hanma, Guevaru is very prideful and would not allow himself to lose a battle.
That gives us a bit more to go on before jumping right into his abilities.
His regular Baki Fandom page does a good job telling us about his abilities with some depth and stories about why we know he’s so strong, but if we pull from his VS Battles Fandom instead we also get a short breakdown like this:
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts, Body Control, Enhanced Senses (Sensed winds likely hundreds of miles away due to the time that passed between his arrival with a pinwheel and the gust of wind), and Natural Weaponry (uses his hair as needles)
Now you already probably knew we were going to be training around superhuman physical abilities, martial arts and body control, BUT, it’s still nice to catch any newbies up to speed and have it listed there.
If we jump back to our original Baki Fandom, they start his abilities section like this:
It is this discipline that has made him so powerful, as he is described as ‘one of the three men alive more powerful than a machine gun’. He uses a fighting style developed from the exclusive use of bare hands against all weapon types, and so is quite capable of killing someone in a single hit. Guevaru was trained by his grandfather – master of Mu-kakure-ryuu Ninjutsu (literally: No-Cover Style of Ninjutsu).
From there they go on to give another long section, finishing us off, that says:
He can defeat an opponent who has a gun to his head, or destroy several abnormally strong and/or skilled opponents at once. He defeated a former professional fighter that was bigger than him by hitting him with a sumo-style Harite; with the force of it pierced the fighter’s eardrum with a clap of air from the force of Jun’s Harite, then pulls a piece of his own hair that he twisted into a length before sticking it in the ear canal of the stunned prisoner, unwrapping the bundle of hair to wrap around the cochlea of the internal ear and finishing it by dexterously pulling the hair out, which slices up the cochlea to paralyze him with imbalance. Jun also defeated a member of the Mouth with a single punch that broke his teeth and sent him flying high enough to be bathed in searchlight for a moment.
Biscuit Oliva comes in as one of the top ten most powerful Baki characters ever on our list here at SHJ – so if Jun Guevara is “Number Two” and powerful enough to take him on, that must tell you something.
For this one we are going to be training for insane strength, an overall superhuman physique, and body control – but we’ll also factor in the fact that Guevara is able to pull off this power level without being as ginormous as some of our other favorite Baki characters.
That means we make take SOME tactics from our Behemoth 90 Day System, but we’ll be focusing on more of a mixture of Superhuman System and Assassin Calisthenics if we’re going to prioritize training styles we’ve seen have insane results from our 90 Day Systems (which have even been used to help train new U.S. Marines).
So be ready for some insane volume, core work and calisthenics (for body control) and heavy lifting for strength and overall aesthetics.

Jun Guevara Workout Routine
5 days per week
Explanation:
As I mentioned: we’re going to be training around superhuman physical abilities and strength, but also insanely shredded and muscular aesthetics like we see from Jun Guevara. So we’ll be lifting heavy and training at a pretty high volume, but also prioritizing aesthetics in there with it.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
