We’re back for another Inosuke inspired workout – this time revolving around calisthenics to get the shredded physique of one of the most popular Demon Slayer characters.
We had our original Inosuke Inspired Workout, that is one of my favorite workouts within our Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts Database – and The SHJ Army LOVED it so much we’re back for another full routine.
Demon Slayer as an anime overall is a fan favorite with others like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and Attack On Titan, so saying Inosuke comes out on top as one of the favorites for Demon Slayer really means he’s one of the favorites among the whole site.
Inosuke came in at number number fifteen among the most powerful Demon Slayer characters and topped that coming in at number four among the most popular Demon Slayer characters.
And his popularity just seems to grow more and more.
So it’s safe to say I’m really excited to also have this calisthenics workout to add to our Demon Slayer Workout Placement Quiz as well.
Inosuke Hashibira Stats:
Real Name: Inosuke Hashibira
Height: 5’4 1/2
Weight: 139 lbs.
Anime: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
Inosuke is quite short, but not all that short when we compare him to male anime characters.
Although he’s definitely dwarfed by the behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Inosuke Hashibira Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Inosuke Hashibira [Calisthenics] Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
Although we already covered Inosuke’s background, powers and abilities in our original workout routine, we’re still going to be rehashing everything we’ll need to know to properly build our this workout.
To start us off his Wiki Fandom leads his bio with:
Inosuke Hashibira is one of the main protagonists of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and along with Zenitsu Agatsuma, a traveling companion of Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado. He is also a Demon Slayer in the Demon Slayer Corps.
From there we’re going to go on to talk about his abilities, but I should also mention that a BIG part of this will be to unlock the Inosuke aesthetic.
And by that I mean we’re going to be specifically training to get toned, muscular and just overall shredded with six pack abs like we see Inosuke throughout the show.
We’re used to Demon Slayer Wiki Fandom having a lot of depth to their ability section for their characters, so we’re going to lead off with what they give us for his overall abilities:
Overall Abilities: Inosuke is a very skilled and talented swordsman as he was able to learn Total Concentration Breathing on his own and develop his very own Breathing Style known as Beast Breathing based on his own instincts and upbringing in the mountains by wild boars and passed Final Selection to become a Demon Slayer all without formal training. Inosuke is more than capable of hunting and slaying demons on his own, as he easily killed the Horned Demon without any trouble. He has shown on multiple occasions to be able to hold his own and contribute in fights against Upper Rank demons of the Twelve Kizuki, including Upper Rank Six, Gyutaro and Daki as well as the much stronger Upper Rank Two, Doma. He is also incredibly gifted, possessing inhuman senses and superhuman flexibility, as well as natural aptitude in combat. Most impressively, Inosuke was able to fend off the Demon King, Muzan, along with his fellow comrades, boasting the same combat proficiency as even the Hashira, the strongest swordsman among all the Demon Slayers.
And before they go into the actual abilities that we’re going to be working around, they also talk a bunch about his animalistic behavior:
Enhanced Flexibility: Inosuke is extremely flexible to the point where he can bend backwards so far that his head reaches between his feet. He later displays the ability to dislocate his arm to extend his reach and dislocate any of the joints in his body at will. This flexibility additionally extends to his internal organs, as he was able to shift his heart and avoid it being pierced in the fight against Daki and Gyutaro.
Sticking to the theme of in depth descriptions, his Demon Slayer Wiki Fandom gives long explanations for each of his abilities.
Here’s how they break down his abilities without the in depth explanation:
- Enhanced Flexibility
- Enhanced Strength
- Enhanced Touch
- Extrasensory Perception
- Immense Speed & Reflexes
- Immense Stamina & Endurance
- Indomitable Will
And one piece of this that I want to expand on is the part about his strength:
As suggested by his incredibly toned muscles and physique, Inosuke possesses superhuman physical strength, being able to dual wield two katanas as opposed to one, even swinging them at super speeds. He was able to slice up the parts of Enmu’s body that had engulfed one of the train cabins. During the Hashira Training Arc, he even managed to move a boulder nearly twice his size with his bare hands. He was able to damage Doma’s neck and throw his swords with such strength, the force on impact was enough to drive Kanao’s sword through his neck.
Which will lead us right into what they tell us about his swordsmanship as well.
Here’s how they break that down:
Master Swordsman: Inosuke has displayed exemplary skill in dual wielding his Nichirin katanas, allowing him to take on and defeat demons in various occasions, even enabling him to match members of the Twelve Kizuki. Nearing the Infinity Castle Arc, Inosuke has undeniably polished his swordsmanship skill to the level of a Hashira, allowing him to keep up and go toe-to-toe with Upper Rank Two, Doma.
Which means we’re going to have a high intensity routine with a lot of volume – but I’ll make sure to make is super scalable being that I know there are so many different levels of fitness coming in that love Inosuke.
So don’t be scared to scale down and take on this workout regardless of your starting point.
