We’re officially hitting our tenth member within our Kengan Ashura Inspired Workouts Database.
Actually, on the same week we’re hitting ten within our Record of Ragnarok Inspired Workouts!
That means within the next week or so we’ll have Kengan Ashura (and ROR) added to Workout Placement Quizzes and even our Unofficial Workout Booklet Series!
Saw Paing was an early request, he just didn’t have quite the number of requests for me to be able to prioritize him early one.
But here we are with a flood of Kengan characters making their way to the site all because you guys continue wanting more and more.
Saw Paing even came in at number twelve among our strongest Kengan Ashura characters, so he’s clearly someone we know going in that we’ll have some intense training to be able to keep up with.
Saw Paing Stats:
Real Name: Yoroizuka Saw Paing
Height: 6’
Weight: 194 lbs.
Anime: Kengan Ashura
Powers: Yes
Saw Paing comes in above average height compared to male anime characters we’ve seen, but I wouldn’t consider him to be a behemoth within our Anime Workouts Database.
He comes in at a range that’s shorter than what we’d consider average (by an inch or so) among male celebrities and superheroes we’ve had at SHJ.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Saw Paing Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Saw Paing Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Saw Paing we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which, as always, leads us off with a brief bio:
Yoroizuka Saw Paing, also known as The Howling Fighting Spirit, is the affiliated fighter of Village of the Dawn in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament.
The Kengan Wiki is notorious for leading us off with not much information, but I do like starting with it even if just for the other names the characters are known as; in this case The Howling Fighting Spirit!
From there, though, we can move into Saw Paing’s powers and abilities. His Wiki Fandom starts off by giving us an overall view of them:
Saw Paing is a practitioner of lethwei, a particularly brutal martial art from Myanmar. Often compared with muay Thai, one of lethwei’s major differences is its rule set: no protective gear, with exception for hand wraps and occasionally tape, and headbutts are allowed. This lack of padding means that fractures are a common occurrence. With this constant cycle of fracturing and repairing, Saw Paing’s bones have become so dense that they’ve become near indestructible, allowing him to withstand and deliver powerful blows with no fear for fractures.
They continue on to say:
This fracturing and repairing also applies to Saw Paign’s skull. Because headbutts are not only allowed, but also a main staple of attack, Saw Paing’s skull is the strongest part of his entire skeletal structure. Described as hard as a kabuto, Kaolan notes that Saw Paing’s skull is the “strongest skull of humanity”. His hard skull gifts both a potent defense and fearsome offensive power; prior to the tournament, of his 17 victories, 8 were won from a headbutt and 6 of those headbutts came as counters. He remains the only fighter against whom Kaolan Wongsawat won by points, and not by knockout, purely due to his resilience. Hanafusa Hajime also noted that, because of the sheer rigidity of his skeleton, his muscles are able to clench harder than ever without repercussion, enabling him to hit that much harder and nullify vital attacks; he won’t come out of assaults unscathed, but the damaged will be halved at least. Despite Saw Paing often being incredibly hot-blooded, he has shown some tactical prowess when fighting.
Continuing on with the headbutt discussion, they actually even tell us more about his main ability/skill – which is a headbutt:
The Hammer of Burma is Saw Paing’s most powerful attack, a headbutt wherein Saw Paing fully pulls back his head before fully slamming his head into the opponent. During his first use of the Hammer of Burma, he missed but combined with his exceedingly durable skull, left a massive crater in the floor, a sign of its destructive power. Saw Paing typically uses this move as a counter.
Here’s the issue: we’re not going to be building this workout around making our skulls and headbutts the most powerful tool in our aresenal.
So if you’re here for that, I apologize.
Instead, here are the goals of this workout:
- Saw Paing’s Shredded and Muscular Physique
- Saw Paing’s Fighter Endurance
- Saw Paing’s Strength and Speed
For this one we WILL be training with weights, so if you were looking for a calisthenics workout you can head back into Kengan Ashura Inspired Workouts and sort by calisthenics or even go directly into all of our calisthenics workouts – but my goal is to build the most efficient way to achieve Saw Paing’s physique for this one – which I believe will be done with some weight training.
This one will have a decent amount of volume and intensity, but you could always scale down a bit or even start with our Beginner Behemoth workout (or Beginner Ninja if you want calisthenics).
