It’s time to bring in our second Classroom of The Elite character, and you guys decided it’s Kakeru Ryuen.
We recently had Kiyotaka Ayanokoji join the site, which is the obvious first choice, and after Kakeru I also want to bring in some female characters as well.
In the next couple weeks I’ll even prioritize bringing in a Classroom Of The Elite mini-database for you guys to sort all the workouts within our larger Anime Workouts Database.
Judging by the amount of requests I’m getting, you guys don’t want me to slow down.
That being said: I do think Kakeru is a great choice, and will let us switch it up a bit.
We built our Kiyotaka Ayanokoji workout around calisthenics, but we’ll be able to use weight training to bulk up a bit more for this one.
Kakeru Ryuen Stats:
Real Name: Kakeru Ryuen
Height: 5’8
Weight: N/A
Anime: Classroom Of The Elite
Powers: No
Kakeru Ryuen comes in right around average height we’ve seen for male anime characters – which started a bit shorter, but has now gone up a bit with the amount of behemoths we’ve seen added to the site.
He would still be considered quite short compared to superheroes and male celebrities, though.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Kakeru Ryuen Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Kakeru Ryuen Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Kakeru Ryuen I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which leads with this:
Kakeru Ryūen is the class representative of Class 1-C who is known for being an infamous delinquent and he does not lead his class by trust, but rather by fear. He has a group of henchmen who do his dirty work, which contributes to his fearsome reputation.
We’ve seen a bit of his appearance in the images I decided to use for this article; so we know we’re going to be training around more of a muscular physique than we did for Koji, but we can also pull a bunch of information from his abilities section.
They actually lead off the section by telling us exactly what we already learned from his bio section (like verbatim), but we can start with his intellectual abilities just to know a bit more about who we’re dealing with:
In spite of his regular violent actions and tenancies, Kakeru is shown to be someone who is very intelligent as he successfully persuaded and forged an alliance with Kōhei Katsuragi to aid him in the survival test. He also planted spies in the respective camps of classes 1-B and 1-D in order to learn the identities of the leaders to gather points for his own class without the respective class leaders finding out. He did this in a way to garner more points, due to the contract with Kōhei. His plan was able to outplay Suzune Horikita and would have been successful had he not been outsmarted by Kiyotaka Ayanokōji intervening. Eventually, he was able to convince Kohei to join his class and leave Class A by appealing to his complicated history with Arisu Sakayanagi. It is said that his leadership and presence in his class is the only reason they are able to remain competitive with the other classes and without him, his class would have would be in constant pandemonium.
From there we can move into his physical abilities, which will help us out a bit more with this workout.
Here’s what they add:
Kakeru is shown to be very strong, as he was able to intimidate and have complete dominion over Daichi Ishizaki, who was a notorious delinquent in middle school who has seen his fair share of fights. He is also not afraid to pick fights and was able to terrify Ken, another delinquent. He is also seen being capable of physically harming Mio Ibuki, and overpowering her relatively easily, despite her knowledge of several martial arts skills and being stated to be the strongest second year girl. For instance, he didn’t even flinch when she attempted to kick him.
For the most part we’re going to be keeping this one built around Kakeru’s aesthetic, and the fact that we know he’s very strong.
The goals of our Kakeru Ryuen Inspired Workout are as follows:
- Kakeru Ryuen’s Muscular and Shredded Physique
- Kakeru Ryuen’s Strength
- Endurance for Martial Arts Knowledge & Toning
As I mentioned above: for this one we’re going to be utilizing weight training, but I’ll be keeping it around an intermediate level and there will be room for scaling as needed.
You can also start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout if you’d like to begin there and move up to this one.
