Next up among our Sword Art Online Inspired Workouts is Eugeo!
We’ve been making our way through some of the more popular characters in SAO and Eugeo is definitely among them.
Actually, Eugeo comes in at number five on our list of the most popular Sword Art Online characters.
He didn’t quite make the list of our most powerful SAO characters, but that doesn’t make him any less of a fan favorite.
I have been enjoying our SAO characters because they allow us to bring in some beginner to intermediate routines being that our characters don’t actually have overwhelming powers.
Eugeo Stats:
Real Name: Eugeo
Height: 5’10
Weight: 158 lbs.
Anime: Sword Art Online
Powers: Yes
Eugeo is actually much taller than I originally thought.
He definitely comes in above average height compared to what we see amongst male anime characters.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Eugeo Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Eugeo Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Eugeo I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which leads us off with this:
Eugeo was the deuteragonist of the first half of the Alicization Arc. Eugeo was a child born in a remote village in the Human Empire of Underworld, where he was assigned the Sacred Task of felling a giant tree with his childhood friend Kirito. After a mishap during an adventure to the mountains resulted in his other childhood friend Alice Zuberg being apprehended by an Integrity Knight for breaking the Taboo Index, while his memories of Kirito were sealed by the administrators of the world, Eugeo spent the following six years focusing on his work to avoid thinking about his lost friend, until Kirito’s return to Underworld led to Eugeo building the resolve to embark on a journey to become an Integrity Knight himself to rescue Alice, as well as acquiring the skills to wield the Blue Rose Sword he had retrieved from the mountains where Alice had broken the Taboo Index.
And they actually go on to say a lot more than we’re used to seeing for a bio section.
To build on his character a bit more, here’s how they continue:
One year later, Eugeo and his partner Kirito successfully enrolled at the Sword Mastery Academy as one of the top twelve students of the year, thus becoming a valet to Elite Disciple Golgorosso Balto. As the fifth best student at the end of the first academy year, Eugeo became one of the twelve Elite Disciples the following year, being assigned Tiese Shtolienen as his valet. However, when his valet Tiese and her friend Ronye Arabel were provoked by high-ranked nobles Raios Antinous and Humbert Zizek into insulting them, Eugeo overwhelmed his Seal of the Right Eye and broke the Taboo Index by slashing Humbert in an effort to save the girls from being sexually abused by the high-ranked nobles, leading to Kirito also breaking the Taboo Index by attacking Raios to save Eugeo from retribution.
Branded as criminals, Eugeo and Kirito were arrested and brought to a prison at the Central Cathedral of the Axiom Church by Integrity Knight Alice Synthesis Thirty, Eugeo’s former childhood friend, who no longer had any recollections of her past. After escaping the prison and learning the truth of the world from Cardinal, the duo fought their way to the top of the Cathedral to acquire Alice’s lost memories and defeat the ruler of the Axiom Church. During the final battle against Quinella, the Supreme Priest of the church, Eugeo merged with Alice’s lost memory fragment and his sword in order to defeat Quinella’s Sword Golem, but suffered fatal injuries when he attacked Quinella after defeating the golem, passing away in the aftermath of the battle.

While normally we’d skip the appearance section I do like adding it in when we’re working with a character like Eugeo whose aesthetic is going to be a big part of how we build this workout.
Here’s how they break it down for us:
Eugeo was described as a slender-looking boy with soft-looking flax-brown, slightly wavy hair, green eyes and a cream color skin. Before getting accepted into the Sword Mastery Academy, he wore the same unbleached, rough cotton or flax, short-sleeved, light blue tunic with irregular texture , hand-sewn threads on the cuffs and a V-shape cut on the chest, tied with a light brown cord, and trousers as Kirito.
When Eugeo joined the Academy, he wore a standard grey uniform. After becoming an Elite Swordsman-in-Training and being given the privilege to customize the color of his uniform, Eugeo chose to wear a blue and gray uniform.
That brings us to the things we’re actually looking to accomplish with this workout.
So our goals for our Eugeo Inspired Workout are:
- Eugeo’s Lean and Slim Physique
- Eugeo’s Agility and Endurance
So this routine is actually going to be built using calisthenics, but it will also function more around endurance and slimming down than it will around strength.
The strength will come from our calisthenics and progressive overload and that will help us tone a bit, but overall we’re looking to trim the fat and slim for speed and agility.

Eugeo Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
We’re going to be training with 3 days of very basic calisthenics but will also have some endurance and a short circuit built in as well. I’ll also give you a Sword Master Academy Circuit Test as well that you can complete weekly, biweekly or monthly; and of course we’ll also have endurance resources if you’d like to tack on a fifth day as well.

For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
