We’ve been on a tear bringing in characters to our Image Comics Inspired Workouts to join Spawn and tons of our Invincible characters.
With that I wanted to make sure our tenth character was Damien Darkblood, our favorite Demon Detective.
I know tons of our SHJ Army is anxiously awaiting another season of Invincible, and Darkblood was definitely a fan favorite among the series – so hopefully this routine will some space as we wait for more.
When we got our first season I made sure to get tons of other popular and powerful characters – most of which were way ahead of Darkblood, who came in at number thirteen, on our list of the most powerful Invincible characters.
So if you’re looking for some other fun Invincible characters you should head into our Invincible characters (within our Image Comics Inspired Workouts) and check out some others!
Damien Darkblood Stats:
Real Name: Damien Darkblood
Height: N/A
Weight: N/A
Comics: Invincible (Image Comics)
Powers: Yes
Although we don’t have a specific height and weight listed for Damien Darkblood, we do know he’s pretty massive.
He’s a fairly tall and large demon, that we know has a decent amount of size and mass on him.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Damien Darkblood Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Damien Darkblood Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Damien Darkblood I’ll be pulling from two different sources to round it out a bit.
I’ll be using his Wiki Fandom page and his ComicVine page as well, to make sure we get the full scope of what we’ll need to be working with to train to become him.
Here’s how his Wiki Fandom page starts us off:
Damien Darkblood is a demon detective who worked for the Global Defense Agency.
Which kind of shows you why I want multiple sources here!
To add some more background information I’ll pull this from his ComicVine:
When the Guardians of the Globe were mysteriously killed Damien set out to find out exactly how. His first theory was that someone had used the stolen Black Samson, but Omni-Man disputed this theory. Damien interrogated Samson who was crushed to learn of their death which made Damien believe he was innocent. He moved on to considering one of many villains the team had fought.
When his leads ran out he returned to the scene and was mocked by fellow agents resembling Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim from Powers. When he returned to the Pentagon to give news of his findings, the secretary at the front desk laughed at him because Omni-Man had already confessed.
And switching right back to his Fandom, they list this for his powers and abilities:
- Teleportation: Damien seems to be able to appear anywhere without restriction. Unless, presumably, he was trying to enter an area that was supernaturally guarded/warded against him or his kind or disruptive to magic in general, he can appear in any location no matter how secure. The only warning that he is approaching is that it becomes cold enough in the area that breathing starts to fog.
- Psychometry: Damien can gain impressions on crimes by touching evidence and the remains of the victims. While these visions show him how the victim died, they don’t show him who perpetrated the crime.
- Intuitiveness: Damien is a skilled detective and can survey a crime scene with relative ease.
Although this doesn’t really do him justice, and it doesn’t help us build a routine all that much either.
So I’ll be pulling some extra information from his ComicVine.
Here’s what they list for us:
AgilitySuper HearingSuper SightSuper SmellSuper StrengthUnarmed Combat
Which does much more for us in terms of a workout routine goes.
Our goals for our Damien Darkblood Inspired Workout are:
- Darkblood’s Super Strength
- Darkblood’s Agility
- Darkblood’s Big and Muscular Physique
This one will be an intermediate level routine so you shouldn’t have to worry all that much about scaling, but if you do want to or need to you can start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout and make your way up to this instead.
For the most part, though, this one will revolve around heavy lifting and be a fun way to get strong and tack on some mass.
