Demon Slayer is coming back soon and we’re slowly filling up our Demon Slayer Workouts Database more and more.
It was already one of the largest mini-databases we’ve had, but you guys continue requesting other characters and making it even more popular.
It’s actually so popular we even have our Unofficial Demon Slayer Workout Booklet AND it became the first anime on the site to get a cookbook as well: our Unofficial Demon Slayer Cookbook.
Kyogai actually isn’t all that powerful, and was even casted out by Muzan because he was quite weak compared to many of the other Demon Slayer characters we’ve seen; but that will give us an opportunity to build out a less intense weight training routine for some of our beginners.
Kyogai Stats:
Real Name: Kyogai
Height: “Very Tall” (Guesstimate: 6’3+)
Weight: N/A
Anime/Manga: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
Generally when we have a character listed as “very tall” that means they’re up there with our behemoths within the Anime Workouts Database.
That said, we don’t have a specific height and weight to work with for Kyogai, but we can assume he’s 6’3 or up. Likely taller.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Kyogai Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Kyogai Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Kyogai we’ll pull from his Wiki Fandom, starting with his bio section here:
Kyogai, also known as the Drum Demon was the primary antagonist in the Tsuzumi Mansion Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He was a demon formerly affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, having previously held the position of Lower Rank Six before Muzan Kibutsuji excommunicated him for not being strong enough.
I mentioned Kyogai not being that powerful in the intro to this article, but that’s actually going to be a good thing for any of our beginner to intermediate level lifters inside The SHJ Army.
Kyogai didn’t even come close to making it onto our list of the most powerful demons in Demon Slayer.
They move onto Kyogai’s appearance section with the initial sentence stating:
Kyogai was a very tall, muscular, humanoid demon, possessing grayish skin, black hair, razor-like teeth, pointy ears, blood red sclera, deep blue pupils and hidden irises due to it being rolled up to the back of his head.
I only add this part into our research because we discussed Kyogai’s height earlier, and his muscular physique is going to be a big part of our training below.
When we move down into his abilities section they talk about his drum power, but we’re going to be more interested in his overall abilities.
It’s important to recognize that even though Kyogai may not be powerful enough for Muzan, he is still a strong demon overall:
Overall Abilities: Kyogai was a relatively powerful demon and was the strongest one Tanjiro had faced at that point. His unusual Blood Demon Art and obsessive hunger for Kiyoshi’s blood made him all the more dangerous. He held off a Mizunoto-ranked Tanjiro and Inosuke with ease and his slashes prevented them from getting a good strike. His constant changing of the room’s orientation also served him well, as Tanjiro became greatly disoriented and was barely survive getting hit. However, the range and potency of his attacks ultimately was not enough to overcome Tanjiro’s will to keep fighting, as the Demon Slayer was able to adapt to his techniques in a relatively short span of time.
As I mentioned: a portion of our workout is going to be built around Kyogai’s aesthetic, but we’ll also be training around his strength and demon speed and endurance.
The goals for our Kyogai Inspired Workout are:
- Kyogai’s Massive Muscular Aesthetic
- Kyogai’s Demon Strength and Speed
- Kyogai’s Demon Endurance
As I mentioned above we’ll be using the fact that Kyogai was too weak for Muzan to our advantage and building this one out around a beginner to intermediate training level.
You can obviously choose to start with one of our other Beginner Workouts, the best choice to level up to this one being our Beginner Behemoth Workout, but this one shouldn’t be that hard to start with.
The main priority for this one is to get strong and muscular without having to build our routine around an insanely overpowered character like we’re sometimes used to seeing.
