Next up among our Solo Leveling Inspired Workouts is none other than the strongest hunter in Japan: Goto Ryuji!
Ryuji even made it onto our list of the strongest Solo Leveling Hunters, coming in at number eight, so we know right away that we’ll have our work cut out for us.
That said, I am keeping this one built around calisthenics training considering Ryuji has an overall aesthetic that pairs well to it – so add him to the list of bodyweight workouts among our Solo Leveling characters and we’re slowly working our way to an even list.
And we also have a few more to get ahead of before our Solo Leveling anime eventually releases…
Goto Ryuji Stats:
Real Name: Goto Ryuji
Height: N/A
Weight: N/A
Anime/Webcomic: Solo Leveling
Powers: Yes
We don’t have an exact height and weight for Goto Ryuji but we can assume he’s slightly above average height based on images of him standing next to other character.
That said, I definitely wouldn’t put him in with our behemoths inside our Anime Workouts Database, quite sure he stands far below most of them.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Goto Ryuji Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Goto Ryuji Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Goto Ryuji I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with a very brief bio section that they give us here:
Goto Ryuji was the strongest hunter in Japan and the Guild Master of the Draw Sword Guild.
From there we can immediately jump over his appearance section, which doesn’t tell us anything we don’t already know, and move into his abilities section.
There we find some specific details we’ll definitely be using to build out our workout.
Right off the bat they tell us about his strength as one of the strongest hunters:
As the best hunter in Japan, Goto was one of the strongest foreign hunters (aside from the National Level Hunters) introduced in the series. However, despite his status, Goto was no match for Jinwoo in a fight and was noted to be completely outclassed by Liu Zhigang, China’s strongest hunter, in raw power by a Chinese navy captain who had seen them both in action firsthand.
From there they also go on to discuss a couple of abilities that we will be working around as well:
Enhanced Strength: Goto was able to create lethal bursts of wind pressure with his strikes.
Enhanced Speed: Goto was able to move fast enough to use his hand like a blade and deflect the Ant King’s first attack when the monster suddenly ambushed him from behind.
The speed and strength will be fun to work around while still shooting to achieve Ryuji’s slim and lean aesthetic.
That means the goals for our Goto Ryuji Inspired Workout are:
- Goto Ryuji’s Slim and Lean Aesthetic
- Goto Ryuji’s Enhanced Strength and Speed
- Goto Ryuji’s Enhanced Stamina
For this one we won’t be utilizing any insane protocol, but we still will be switching up the variations each day to make sure we can work in progressive overload.
That said, if it’s too hard to scale back down (though you can just cut reps and revert back to the simplest/easiest variations of the movements) you can also start with our Beginner Ninja Workout and then work your way up to this one.
At base, this should be around an intermediate level workout, if not teetering into mid-level beginner-intermediate with some scaling.
