It’s almost shameful that Tanktop Master hasn’t made it into our One Punch Man Inspired Workouts yet.
But we’re amending that today.
We have a full database of over 20 workouts and growing more and more each month, but I knew I had to be sure to get Tanktop Master in the database prior to the release of season 3.
On top of that, we’ll also be getting another few characters that are already towards the top of the queue of requests.
Oh, and if it isn’t obvious: we’ll be training with weights for this one.
Tanktop Master Stats:
Real Name: Tanktop Master
Height: 7’6 1/2
Weight: 346 lbs.
Anime/Manga: One Punch Man
Powers: Yes
Tanktop Master is a behemoth, joining the elite few within our Anime Workouts Database.
He towers above most characters we’ve seen, and his mass will be a priority for our workout routine.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Tanktop Master Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Tanktop Master Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Tanktop Master I’ll be pulling from his Wiki Fandom page here:
Tanktop Master, often simply called Master, is the S-Class Rank 16 professional hero of the Hero Association. He is the leader of the Tank Topper Army.
This doesn’t tell us much, but it’s a decent starting point to get an overview of the insanely powerful hero we’re going to be building this one out around.
I’m going to skip over his appearance section being that it’s quite obvious what we’re dealing with, and move right into his powers and abilities.
Here’s what they tell us about his overall abilities:
Tanktop Master, as an S-Class hero, is one of the strongest heroes in the association as well as one of the physically strongest men on the planet. In his fight with Garou, who was able to defeat elite A-Class heroes with ease, he was able to not only harm Garou but hold the upper hand against the Hero Hunter for the beginning and middle of the fight, before being overwhelmed by the latter’s advanced martial arts. It was noted by Garou that Tanktop Master’s physical strength equaled that of Genos with the Post-Super-Fight-Arc Upgrade. However, against the Dragon-level executives of the Monster Association, Tanktop Master was helpless and overpowered by Fuhrer Ugly and Gums.
Clearly physical strength is also going to be a top priority for us.
From there they also go on to explain each physical ability (including much more about his strength).
Here is a breakdown of each ability for us to work with:
Immense Strength: Tanktop Master possesses great physical ability. This can be seen when he hurls a large block of concrete at both great distance and extreme velocity towards the Dark Matter Thieves’ spacecraft. He was able to break apart and shake the ground with a single punch, causing Garou to lose his balance momentarily. Unlike his fellow Tanktoppers, he could defeat one of Bofoi’s drones with a suplex as well as force back his giant construction drone with his arm strength alone. He also defeated the monster Gyoffrey by sending it flying through a wall with a tackle despite still recovering from his injuries in the fight with Garou. Tanktop Master claims that he has more “tanktop power” than all of the Tanktop army combined. His incredible strength is once again shown when he lifts and throws a transmission tower through the air at incredible speed, amazing the other heroes standing nearby with such a performance. He continued to show great prowess in his throwing abilities, as he was able to hurl large chunks of rubble at the fusion of Psykos and Orochi and eventually even a building containing the likes of Superalloy Darkshine and Puri-Puri Prisoner, albeit with the help from Fubuki, who enhanced his physical prowess. Additionally, Tanktop Master is also capable of resisting Gums, a Dragon-level threat able to crush heavy machinery with its jaws, to chew him, albeit with great difficulty.
Immense Speed: Tanktop Master was fast enough to catch Garou by surprise in their fight, able to hit him with speed that shocked the Hero Hunter. Although unseen, he was able to outrun the falling ship of the Dark Matter Thieves before it crashed on the ground. Tanktop Master can also travel at greater speeds than running by throwing huge projectiles at high-speed and grabbing hold of them; letting their momentum pull him through the air in a form of pseudo-flight.
Immense Durability: Tanktop Master has a high level of durability, as he was able to stay up after taking multiple hits from Garou, whereas his fellow tanktop army was defeated by single hits from the Hero Hunter.
They also go on to talk about his enhanced senses, pain endurance and masterful hand to hand combat.
That said, the goals for our Tanktop Master Inspired Workout are:

- Tanktop Master’s Immense Strength
- Tanktop Master’s Immense Speed
As I mentioned above: we’ll obviously be using weight training to achieve our goals.
BUT, I also want to make mention to the fact that this will be built around high volume training considering Tanktop Master’s power level and massive physique.

Tanktop Master Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5-6 days per week
For this one we’re not only training to acquire the aesthetics of a massive bodybuilder, but also the strength and speed of one of the most powerful heroes in all of One Punch Man. For that reason we’ll be utilizing a 5 day split of weight training with optional ways to increase the already high volume. You’ll have 5 mandatory days of lifting mixed with hero intensity and endurance work and then I’ll also be tacking on a Tank Topper Army Circuit Test that you can complete weekly, biweekly or monthly as you’d like.

Tanktop Master Workout: Optional Endurance Resources
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
