It’s time to bring Yoriichi back into our Demon Slayer Workouts Database.
We’ve already seen our original Yoriichi Inspired Workout, which revolved around weight training, but this time we’re going to be looking to build out a bodyweight workout for the strongest ever Demon Slayer.
That means this one is definitely going to be one of the most intense calisthenics workouts we’ve had, so you should be ready to train at a more advanced level if you’re going to be taking this one on.
If not, you can also start with one of our Beginner Workouts, with The Beginner Ninja being that best option if you’re trying to stick to calisthenics.
Yoriichi Stats:
Real Name: Yoriichi Tsugikuni
Height: 6’3
Weight: 205 lbs.
Anime: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
Yoriichi Tsugikuni is actually quite tall compared to other male anime characters we’ve seen.
Although he is about three inches or so away from being classified as a behemoth among our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Yoriichi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Yoriichi Calisthenics Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Yoriichi we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with his bio section here:
Yoriichi Tsugikuni is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a legendary Demon Slayer who lived nearly 500 years ago during the Sengoku era (the Golden Age of Demon Slayers), as well as the strongest Demon Slayer to have ever existed. He is also the inventor of Breathing Styles, being the one who created the first ever Breathing Style that would eventually become the Hinokami Kagura used by Tanjiro Kamado and members of the Kamado Family.
Yoriichi is the younger twin brother of Michikatsu Tsugikuni, who later became a demon and joined the Twelve Kizuki.
If you guys are also interested in Yoriichi’s brother, we also just recently added a second variation of his workout to the site as well and you can take on our original Kokushibo Inspired Workout (Weight Training) or even our Kokushibo Inspired Workout (Calisthenics).
This bio section doesn’t necessarily tell us the specific attributes we’ll be training around, but it does give us an idea of just how powerful Yoriichi was.
His appearance section touches on the fact that Yoriichi was a tall man with a muscular build, which are two things we already knew about him, so we’ll be skipping the full section in favor of moving right into his powers and abilities.
We can start with his overall abilities which they lead by breaking this down for us:
Overall Abilities: Yoriichi is the strongest Demon Slayer in history, being born with the Demon Slayer Mark, access to the Transparent World, and Selfless State, as well as possessing a physique polished to the highest caliber and innate swordsmanship talent. As a seven-year-old child who has never picked up a sword before, he was able to defeat a trained sword instructor effortlessly and he was referred to as a miraculous prodigy beyond compare. After training as a Demon Slayer, Yoriichi could defeat multiple demons to where his older brother stated that he as a child couldn’t even compare to him as an adult.
He alone among the Demon Slayer Corps was able to corner Muzan Kibutsuji and overpowered him in an instant, having him on the verge of death until he barely managed to escape. Despite having avoided death, Muzan was deeply scarred by that encounter, referring to him as a monster, and even the sight of his earrings made him tremble in shock, while mere memories of Yoriichi caused the bodies of other demons who have never met him to tremble.
You can tell why Yoriichi comes in on top of our list of the most powerful Demon Slayer characters of all time – and why I mentioned that this will be one of the most intense calisthenics routines to date.
If we move further into his powers and abilities they discuss his genius level intellect, extrasensory perception, selfless state, and more – before moving into his physical abilities here:
Immeasurable Speed & Reflexes: Yoriichi possessed unparalleled levels of speed that surpass all other characters in the series, including that of the Demon King, shown when he was able to dodge every attack that Muzan launched at him and near-fatally injure Muzan with one move, despite the demon’s own immeasurable speed and strength. Even when Muzan divided himself into 1,800 flesh pieces to escape, Yoriichi still managed to reduce the number down to 300 in mere seconds.
Even on the last day of his life, he was able to easily blitz Kokushibo, Muzan’s strongest subordinate, nearly severing his neck instantly, despite Yoriichi telling him when he will strike. As another testament to his godlike movement speed, Yoriichi Type Zero, the robot doll modeled after him used by Demon Slayers to train, was built with 6 arms because 2 arms alone couldn’t replicate Yoriichi’s movements.
Immeasurable Stamina & Endurance: Even as a seven-year-old child, Yoriichi could run for a whole day without rest; he even remarked he didn’t feel the least bit enervated. His vitality is also beyond peak-human level, being able to survive without food or water for 10 whole days when he was embracing his dead wife. Moreover, Yoriichi lived to his 80s without his power waning in the slightest, as shown when he instantly outmatched Kokushibo during their final confrontation.
Immeasurable Strength: Yoriichi possesses tremendous levels of physical strength possibly beyond that of nearly all other Demon Slayers in existence. As a child, he could knock out a grown man with inclined physical abilities with a wooden blade, even causing extremely severe bruises the size of fists. When he was an adult, he was able to effortlessly slice off the neck of Muzan Kibutsuji, the most fortified body part of the strongest demon in existence.
These are the specific physical attributes we’ll be training around, but we can also discuss his Sun Breathing and swordsmanship to full wrap up our research.
Here’s what they share for those sections:
Unparalleled Swordsmanship: Yoriichi is the greatest swordsman to have ever lived. Even as a seven-year-old child with no training, he was capable of easily defeating a trained swordsman the very first time he ever picked up a sword, striking him in multiple areas across his body faster than the eye can process. His swordsmanship was so tremendous that a battle doll modelled after him had to be made with 6 arms wielding katanas and utilizing 108 techniques to even attempt to imitate Yoriichi’s skills, and even then, the doll was still vastly inferior compared to him. His swordsmanship easily overwhelmed the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji and he would have killed his twin brother, Kokushibo, the strongest swordsman in the current era, if he didn’t die of old age.
Sun Breathing: Created by Yoriichi himself as the original Breathing Style which all other subsequent styles would be modeled after and was later replicated by Sumiyoshi who called it Hinokami Kagura. Yoriichi was incredibly proficient in his Sun Breathing, being able to take down demons effortlessly and even overwhelm the Demon King and strongest Upper Rank. When looking through the memories of his ancestor, Tanjiro remarked that when Yoriichi performed the techniques of Sun Breathing, the forms were so strikingly beautiful and breathtaking, he appeared more like a spirit than a man.
For this we’ll need to be training to have great body control and core strength to heighten the abilities Yoriichi would be showing with his insane swordsmanship abilities.
The actual goals of our Yoriichi Inspired Workout will be:
- Yoriichi’s Lean, Toned and Muscular Aesthetic
- Yoriichi’s Insane Strength, Speed and Endurance
- Yoriichi’s Swordsmanship Body Control and Core
I mentioned this at the beginning, but this workout will definitely be both intense and high volume.
We’ve had some overpowered characters before, but we’re talking about potentially the most powerful character within the Demon Slayer Universe, so we’ll need to step it up a notch on top of what we’ve had within that database.
Don’t be afraid to scale down or to start with a different one of our calisthenics workouts before moving into this one.
