Our Lookism Inspired Workouts Database continues to grow and we even built out our Viral Hit Workouts as well – and Jake Kim is next up among our popular manhwa / webcomics.
We’ve already had some insane training regimes show up among both of those databases, and we’re going to need to step it up a notch again for Jake Kim who is one of the strongest characters in the series.
That said, you guys did ask for a bodyweight workout that can end up within our calisthenics workouts on the site and thankfully Jake Kim’s physique is one that I believe we can definitely work around to make that happen.
Jake Kim Stats:
Real Name: Jake Kim
Height: 6’5
Weight: N/A
Anime: Lookism
Powers: No
Jake Kim is extremely tall, even coming in among our behemoths compared to male anime characters within our Anime Workouts Database.
That said, his physique is muscular, but still shredded and achievable with a solid calisthenics workout.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Jake Kim Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Jake Kim Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Jake Kim I’ll be pulling right from his Lookism Wiki Fandom which starts with an extremely short bio section here:
Jake Kim is the leader of the West River Gang, Big Deal.
From there they go into some discussion about his appearance, which you should already know from the manhwa or even the images I have shared throughout this article, but here’s a short snippet of what we’re working with:
Jake Kim is described to be handsome, with a tall slender figure. Although he’s been shown to have a range of expressiveness within his face, usually his eyebrows always look raised, and a calm expression. His hair is black and his eyes are a deep brown.
This doesn’t give us much to go on either, but I think it does the trick considering we already know what the aim is for this specific portion of the workout.
The part that is really going to tell us the most about what we need to accomplish for our workout is his abilities section that they describe here for us:
Jake Kim is among the most proficient fighters in the series utilizing a fighting style based off of MMA and his father’s, Gapyrong Kim’s, street fighting style. He is extremely skilled in combat and the third person to defeat Euntae Lee in the Webtoon (the others being Daniel and Gun).
Although it may be argued that Daniel may be faster, Jake defeated Euntae, who as Daniel stated before, was the second to visibly injure Gun. He was able to defeat Xiaolong, who was comparable to Gun in strength. And, as of chapter 388, blocked a kick from Sinu, who had “Invisible” kicks.
In the Hunt for Big Deal arc he had to (for a limited time) fight both Yuseong (an extremely powerful figure, as the Workers version of Gun Park) and Xiaolong (who was stated by Jake (who fought Gun) and Old Face (who witnessed Gun) to be on par with Gun), but Xiaolong only got stronger from there (as did Gun who got much stronger than his past self), and he was putting up a decent fight (albeit on the losing end), and once Yuseong left, Jake adapted to Xiaolong’s fighting style and ending up cornering him. A testament to his durability and endurance is that he survived a fall from a school building after taking heavy blows from the weapon wielding Xiaolong and pure destructive power (as stated by Johan) of Yuseong and still willed himself to push forward and push back the police to keep Big Deal safe.
Now that’s like quadruple (if not more) the information we got from every other section.
They don’t specifically mention his strength or speed so much as being one of the strongest fighters in the entire series. They do mention his strength being comparable to Gun, which is massive in itself, and his durability and endurance – so these are two things that will be a top priority, but we know it won’t necessarily need to be focused around any mass gain other than a chiseled and toned aesthetic.
That means the goals for our Jake Kim Inspired Workout are:
- Jake Kim’s Toned and Muscular Physique
- Jake Kim’s Strength and Endurance
- Jake Kim’s Fighter Core and Speed
This one will be pretty intense considering we’re dealing with one of the strongest fighters in the series, and as Lookism fans we know exactly how powerful that makes him, but we’ll also be allowing you to scale back if needed.
If you’re a beginner, though, I do recommend starting with one of our Beginner Workouts, primarily the Beginner Ninja Workout if you’re going to be looking to eventually upgrade to this one.
That said, this one will be right on the money for intermediate to advanced levels looking to have an intense calisthenics routine to add to their regime.
