Last week we finally got our Star-Lord Inspired Workout, which means we went ahead and started a Guardians Of The Galaxy kick for you guys to hop on.
So it shouldn’t be surprising that I had tons of requests for Adam Warlock to be added to our Marvel Inspired Workouts.
And, like our Star-Lord routine, I’m also going to be going to be building Adam’s training around weight training (for reasons we’ll get to below).
Which means if you want bodyweight training you’ll need to jump into the Calisthenics Workouts and find one there.
Adam Warlock Stats:
Real Name: Adam Warlock
Height: 6’2
Weight: 240 lbs.
Comics: Marvel Comics
Powers: Yes
Adam is actually fairly tall, but it’s his weight that says a lot.
His 240 pounds is massive for his 6’2, which we can consider to be muscle mass.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Adam Warlock Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Adam Warlock Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about what we’re dealing with here I’ll start by pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with what they tell us about his background.
Here’s how they start us off:
Adam Warlock is a genetically-engineered being who possesses incredible physical powers, as well as the ability to manipulate energy and matter. Originally only known as Him, he was created by the Enclave, a group of Earth based scientists who sought to create the perfect lifeform. They raised him at the Beehive on Shard Island He later became a hero, fighting alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers.
When the Mad Titan Thanos acquired the Infinity Gauntlet, along with the Infinity Stones, which grant their wielder unlimited power. Warlock, along with a group of heroes, worked to defeat Thanos and restore balance to the universe. He has been shown to possess the Soul Stone, which granted him control over souls and the ability to manipulate reality.
Throughout his history, Warlock has undergone numerous transformations, including becoming a messianic figure known as the Magus. He later manifested into his evil doppelganger, the Magus who travelled back in time from the future. He joined forces with other heroes to stop Magus and prevent the destruction of the universe.
This only begins to scratch the surface of what we’ll be working with for this one, but it should give you a good idea where we’re going with it.
We have our work cut out for us.
When we move down into his powers and abilities we start by learning this:
Much of Adam’s powers derived from his unique biology in which grants him vast capabilities and powers. These powers are also subject to various changes with each rebirth and development from his regenerative cocoon on a subconscious level and can develop powers depending on the situation at hand. According to Thanos, Adam is also a unique being like himself and is described to be apart of the “cosmic norm”. During his time as the Magus, the Xandarian Worldmind stated that Adam’s power was beyond Dark Quasar and labelled him being powerful to a degree that made it impossible for it to measure against Richard Rider, who was a Nova-Prime.
Again, this doesn’t necessarily tell us what we need to work around – but it gets us a tad bit closer.
They also go into detail about these abilities, which are mainly to show you a bit more background:
Symbiotic Bond with the Soul Gem: From his experience with the Soul Gem, the Infinity Gem has formed a willing, symbiotic bond with Adam, giving him the ability to sense its whereabouts at will. Out of all the hosts the Soul Gem has bonded with, it has stated that Adam was the most powerful of all his hosts, having retained his will under its control. Because of this bond, Adam can render himself immune and even counter the likes of the Soul Gem being used by others.
Avatar of Life: Originally destined to become the Avatar of Life by the In-Betweener, Adam was designated as the Avatar of Life by the aforementioned entity in order to oppose the then-Avatar of Death, Thanos, and keep a cosmic balance between life and death. After re-inserting the inactive timeline involving the Magus, Adam was officially recognized as Earth-616’s Avatar of Life again.
But now we’ll get into the meat and potatoes of what we want to know for this.
The abilities that come with his Superhuman Physiology:
- Superhuman Strength: Warlock possesses super-human strength, though its exact level is unknown. Previously listed at class 4, he could once enhance his strength, enabling him to reach class 40 for less than one hour. However, Adam Warlock has been able to fight hand-to-hand, and injure, beings such as Wonder Man, Thor, Ulik and a Thanos clone that matched the original’s physicals.
- Superhuman Speed: Warlock is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than even the finest human athlete. He has also been able to move at speeds Drax was unable to see.
- Superhuman Stamina: Warlock’s musculature generates less fatigue toxins, during physical activity, than the musculature of a human being. While not employing his energy to enhance his natural physical strength, Warlock can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him.
- Superhuman Agility: Warlock’s agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
Which makes our objectives pretty obvious for this one.
The goals for our Adam Warlock Inspired Workout are:
- Adam Warlock’s Shredded Muscular Aesthetic
- Adam Warlock’s Superhuman Strength and Speed
- Adam Warlock’s Superhuman Stamina
This one won’t be easy, but it also won’t be super advanced.
Right there in the middle.
That said, if you’re a beginner you may want to start with one of our Beginner Workouts and then work your way up to this one.
