I promised more Naruto themed workout routines, and we’re back for another.
We already saw our Boruto Workout this week, and now it’s time for another female to hit the site.
I mentioned in Boruto’s article that I’m actually making a push to get us to ten total Naruto workout routines so that I can write up a Top Ten Listicle like we’ve seen for Dragon Ball Z and My Hero Academia, and we’re actually not far off!
I had to call in a favor to some pals in The SHJ Army to really sort out the best four new Naruto characters to feature, but now that that is taken care of: we’re groovin’!
Ino Yamanaka Stats:
Height:
Part I: 149.3 cm–151.2 cm (4’9)
Part II: 162.2 cm (5’3)
Blank Period: 164 cm (5’4)
Weight: N/A
Real Name: Ino Yamanaka
Powers: Yes
Anime: Naruto
Similar to other Naruto and anime characters, it was quite easy to find a breakdown of Ino Yamanaka’s height, but not so much for her weight.
Which makes complete sense, but I”ll still list it all for you for your own comparisons nevertheless.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Ino Yamanaka Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Ino Yamanaka Workout Routine Information (and Research)
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started I’ll share a bit of background information on Ino straight from her Wiki Fandom:
Ino is the only child of Inoichi Yamanaka and was a popular student during her time in the Academy. There, she met Sakura Haruno, who was teased by other kids for her large forehead. Ino defended Sakura from the bullies and encouraged her to embrace her forehead rather than hide it, becoming good friends with her. Over the following years, Ino’s guidance and friendship helped Sakura become more confident and develop into her own person. However, when Sakura found out that they had a crush on the same boy, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura approached Ino, telling her of her liking towards Sasuke. Sakura then took it to end their friendship, starting their dislike towards each other in the beginning of the series.
We’re already familiar with Sasuke, and we’ll be seeing Sakura here at SHJ soon as well!
For Boruto’s Workout I made the swap to mixing in different variations of training after some people requested weight training be incorporated; but for this one I want to break down Ino’s abilities a bit more.
Here’s what her Wiki Fandom has to tell us:
As a genin, Ino was noted to be an exceptional kunoichi by Asuma — and by her father’s admission — a kunoichi with the potential to become the strongest member of the Yamanaka clan. During the time-skip, she becomes a chūnin, and her improved skills ultimately earned further praise from her father in the Fourth Shinobi World War. Around the era of the Seventh Hokage, Ino’s talents made her the head of the Konoha Barrier Team.
From there they work right into her abilities, stating:
Chakra and Physical Prowess
While a genin, Ino showed to be skilled at chakra control, as seen when she used her own cut hair to bind a target. In Part II, her chakra control improved greatly, having been made a medical-nin, and being chosen to help seal the Three-Tails. She could also transfer her chakra to others.
Although Ino rarely uses taijutsu, she has proven to be skilled enough in her battle against Sakura during the Chūnin Exams, and against a reincarnated Asuma in the Fourth Shinobi World War, a proficient taijutsu user himself. Ino has also shown impressive strength and speed, able to tackle Chōji (with increased weight from his enlarged arm) away from Asuma’s Wind Release: Dust Cloud Technique. Two years after the war, while usually positioned near the back lines during close ranged combat situations, her taijutsu has improved enough to support Sai in defeating multiple amount of enemies.
Ninjutsu
By the Fourth Shinobi World War, she possessed the Earth, Water, Yin and Yang Release nature transformations. With Earth Release, she could erect a rock wall to protect against attacks. She would later acquire Fire Release as well. By the era of the Seventh Hokage, Ino could probe people’s minds for information.
Sensory Perception
Ino has great sensory perception, able to detect changes in another person’s chakra. She can lock onto an enemy’s chakra signature and transfer the information to her allies for their benefit. In later years, she became able to instinctively detect a person’s chakra signature without first moulding chakra and became the leader of Konoha Barrier Team.
Ino learned medical ninjutsu over the time-skip, and was noted to have mastered it by Part II. She is skilled enough to heal fatal wounds, tell the severity of an attack through observation, and to aid in surgeries. Ino also employed anaesthetic-laced weapons
I personally believe the closest thing we can get to Ino Yamanaka’s training style (in the sense of trying to find a compatible match for her Ninjutsu) would be meditation, yoga, calisthenics and speed training (with the addition of Parkour/MMA training, of course).
That being said, it will be a fun swap from some of the training we’ve been seeing recently!
So be prepared to tone up via calisthenics and yoga, while also using outside resources/workouts for some additional styles of training!

Ino Yamanaka Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
We’re going to be mainly training utilizing yoga and calisthenics. I will program you 2-3 days of calisthenics based training and also provide you with some resources for yoga training. It will be your decision if you will use yoga or calisthenics 3 days a week, and which you will strictly use 2 days a week. Assuming you won’t be utilizing one or the other I will also be providing you Parkour and Mixed Martial Arts Training Resources to take advantage of as well. These can be subbed in for either style of training at any time. Additionally, I suggest adding in one day (or more) devoted to endurance training, which can be added on top of other training in the form of a run. The last portion of your training will come from speed and agility training that will be added in 1-2 times a week on top of any training day you are able to perform extra.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
