We’ve already had our Aang Workout Routine, so how about his youngest son Tenzin?!
After all, he is another airbender.
We actually hosted Aang’s and Korra’s Workout both in the same week and they completely blew up as members of The SHJ Army flooded to try them out.
Then Avatar was added to Netflix and we had a new surge of requests for more workouts.
Since then we’ve had our Zuko Workout, our Toph Beifong Workout, our Iroh Workout and even our Ty Lee Workout.
But now we’re preparing for The Legend of Korra to make it’s way to Netflix as well!
Tenzin Stats:
Height: 6’2
Real Name: Tenzin
Age: 51-55
Powers: Yes
Show: Legend of Korra
There are some conflicting stats for Tenzin, but the one that came back with the clearest results came from a Legend of Korra height scale piece of art that put Tenzin around 6’2.
There was a conflicting piece that had him at a whopping 6’7, but 6’2 makes much more sense.
Vegeta were tied Wolverine for the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Tenzin Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Tenzin Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
For those of you who don’t already know: Tenzin is Avatar and Katara’s youngest child.
To expand on that we can take a look at what his Wiki Fandom has to tell us here:
Tenzin is the youngest child of Avatar Aang and Katara and the oldest living airbending master. He lives on Air Temple Island with the Air Acolytes, his wife Pema, and their four children: Jinora, Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan. During the resurfacing of airbending across the Earth Kingdom after the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG, Tenzin and his family temporarily relocated to the Northern Air Temple. A calm and serious man, he represented the Air Nation on the United Republic Council in Republic City prior to its dissolution and was responsible for educating Avatar Korra in the art of airbending and spirituality.
Like his father Aang, whose workout we’ve already had at SHJ, Tenzin is also an airbender.
He is even an Airbending Instructor, Spiritual Mentor, and former Councilmen.
Other than his airbending, which I unfortunately cannot teach you, his Wiki Fandom lists his other abilities as such:
Tenzin is in excellent physical shape and has proven himself a highly nimble and evasive fighter. When the Equalists launched a sneak attack to capture him, he effortlessly dodged their initial assault with no wasted movement. Even when his hands were bound, he was able to calmly dodge all of a chi blocker’s close-range attacks. He also has excellent stamina, going for a ten-mile hike without tiring, and while defending the Northern Air Temple from the Red Lotus’ elemental masters, he displayed incredible physical resilience when being beaten by all four, sustaining severe injuries without losing consciousness.
Now this is what we’re going to be using to build our Tenzin workout!
We’ve had a handful of mixed martial arts workouts here at SHJ that I’ll be sharing below, but we’re also going to be working to build up Tenzin’s incredible stamina and speed.
They actually make specific mention to his stamina, stating: “He also has excellent stamina, going for a ten-mile hike without tiring,”.
I hope you like endurance training!
It won’t all come from hiking, obviously, but we’ll rather be switching it up with running, hiking, high intensity interval training, and other variations to get you toning and strong, but also resilient like Tenzin.
Rather than give you guys a yoga routine, which generally seems to be the best fit with many of our Avatar characters, we’ll be using basic calisthenics and simple movements to help with the toning as well.

I’m going to be giving you three days of base calisthenics and endurance training, resources for mixed martial arts and parkour for another 2-3 days of training, and some resources for meditation and yoga as well.

Calisthenics Training:
These can be completed in normal sets (Ex: 4×25) or as supersets, circuits or even spread out throughout the day.
Push Ups: 100

Yoga Cool-down:
I sometimes use yoga as a warm up and sometimes I use it as a cool-down.
This can be entirely up to you.

Training Variation C:
Endurance Training: 5-10 Mile Weighted Hike
If you can’t get outdoors and go hiking then try to do some other variation of long distance cardio.
This can even be varied from biking, walking, running, rowing, or hopping on the Elliptical, StairMaster or Rower!
Tenzin Workout: MMA and Parkour Resources and Explanation
On Parkour/MMA training days you can choose to implement any additional training from these resources, OR you can utilize some of the resources I’ve already shared about by adding in more endurance work or even taking advantage of a longer yoga video.
