I am on a mission to one day be able to eat as much as Beerus and not look like his brother Champa.
I’m hoping this Beerus Inspired Workout Routine helps with that, but I’m not sold just yet.
Beerus is going to be the perfect addition to our Dragon Ball Z Workouts (we even have a mini-database for just DBZ within our Workout Database and Anime Workouts Database).
Actually, a bit of a spoiler alert, I’m specifically adding him to the site this week to enable us to do some high power listicles like we recently saw for our Marvel and DC Superheroes.
I’m specifically referring to Top Ten Most Powerful Superheroes of All Time, and Top Ten Most Powerful Superheroes With No Power!
Now we’re going to be moving into anime lists being that you guys like those so much!
Beerus Stats:
Real Name: Beerus
Height: 5’9
Weight: Unknown
Anime: Dragon Ball Super
Powers: Yes
Beerus isn’t massive, but he’s right around Goku’s height, only having a couple inches on him.
But, even without knowing Beerus’ weight we know his strength is absolutely enormous, so the weight to height ratio doesn’t really make a difference here.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Beerus Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Beerus Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start us off I’m going to be pulling from Beerus’ Wiki Fandom to discuss just how powerful he is.
But, before we get into his powers and abilities (or at least the discussion of his strength), here’s a brief bio:
Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7. He is accompanied by his martial arts teacher and attendant, Whis. Beerus’ twin brother is Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6.
He’s a God of Destruction.
He’s out of this world strong…literally.
To paint a better picture of that strength, here’s some of how his Wiki Fandom describes it for us:
As a God of Destruction, Beerus usually uses his power to destroy planets and its inhabitants, but he is strong enough to destroy entire solar systems with ease (as said by Whis when describing Beerus’ might when angered). At a greatly suppressed level of power, Beerus completely dominates Super Saiyan 3 Goku in battle, rendering him unconscious with just a light chop to the neck and barely breathing. Afterwards, Goku mentions that not even a Fusion of himself and Vegeta would be enough to take down Beerus. With only a tiny percentage of his true power, Beerus effortlessly defeats Good Buu, Android 18, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, Potential Unleashed Gohan (Ultimate Super Saiyan in the original version), and Super Saiyan Gotenks. Even with a massive power boost, Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta’s assault barely fazed Beerus, who swiftly defeated Vegeta with a simple forehead poke. Against Goku’s Super Saiyan God power, the two seemed evenly matched, but Beerus eventually wins. Beerus also admits to Goku that there are indeed individuals in the various universes that are stronger than him, including his attendant/teacher Whis. It was later revealed by Whis that Beerus has in fact used not quite 70% of his full power, a feat he had not had to do in quite a while.
So to build on that, we usually see Goku in comparison to superheroes like Superman and The Hulk and Marvel/DC heroes that would be considered super-over-powered and although both sides make a strong argument I generally see Goku comes out on top with some people even saying “easily”.
WELL, Beerus can simply flick Goku on the forehead and render him unconscious. That’s the kind of power we’re working with.
This basically means you can think back to our Goku Workout, Vegeta Workout and even Broly Workout and know that we have to step this one up to another level.
Part of me thinks it’s not even possible to do that considering the training volume we already worked with, but what we’re going to do is build out a complete strength focused start to our sessions, move into high intensity training training and supersets, and then finish with option endurance work (which can be subbed for other training styles that you’d need to master for your Beerus training).
And even then we’ll be in no way able to come near the power of The God of Destruction of Universe 7, but at least we will be able to say we tried.
Think you’re ready?

Beerus Workout Routine
Training Volume:
6 days a week
Explanation:
Technically we’re going to be utilizing a 4 day weightlifting split for our strength portion but then we’ll move into HIIT and endurance so the extra two days will still involve variations of that except broken up into longer circuits that have you doing a mix of everything (think of Whis style training)!
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
