I told you going into Kurapika’s Workout this week that we’d be getting two characters from Hunter X Hunter.
I also mentioned that I wanted to make sure we have the main crew, so I suppose you could have guessed Leorio’s Workout was next!
But now I want our Anime Workouts Database to continue getting more and more Hunter X Hunter characters until we even have a mini database for it.
Real Name: Leorio Paradinight
Weight: 187 lbs.
Anime: Hunter X Hunter
Leorio is clearly extremely tall in the show even though he’s standing next to much shorter characters.
His 6’4 even puts him in at a taller range among all characters, not just anime characters.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Leorio Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Leorio Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
As we do with most of our characters we’ll be started with Leorio’s Wiki Fandom to discuss his bio that they give us to start:
Leorio Paradinight is a Rookie Hunter and a member of the Zodiacs with the codename “Boar”. He is currently a medical student, with a goal to become a doctor.
While this is super brief, we’ll also be getting a decent amount of information when we work our way into his powers and abilities, which will also be the bulk of what we’ll use to make his routine!
They lead with this about the powers and abilities that come from him being a Hunter:
As a member of the Zodiacs, Leorio’s authority exceeds that of most Hunters. Although this is partly owed to Ging’s actions, Leorio’s charisma conquered a great number of Hunters so that he became a finalist during the election of the 13th Chairman of the Hunter Association. His great popularity is also the reason he was selected as a Staff Advisor. Although he was apparently deemed capable enough to participate in the dangerous expedition to the Dark Continent, Leorio’s actual fighting skills are unknown. During the Hunter Exam, he was able to survive the throw of one of Hisoka’s cards, although he was still injured, and Netero declared his combat prowess to be superior to Bodoro’s. He left a strong enough impression on Hisoka to be deemed an opponent worth giving the chance to “mature”. Despite being moderately observant, Leorio’s temper often causes him to act rashly.
From there Leorio has another long list of powers and abilities the same way Kurapika did.

So we’re going to be looking to replicate Leorio’s enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, agility, and stamina!
Just like Kurapika’s routine we’ll also be adding in a day of weighted vest training from when Leorio and Kurapika went to help Gon visit Killua at his home and needed to train with weighted vests to move the doors!
We’ll be using the same training day there being that they did it together; but the rest of the training will be different outside of the obvious endurance work.

Similar to Kurapika we’ll be using 3 days of calisthenics and weights, but they’ll be swapped up a bit for Leorio’s training and then we’ll also have the weighted vest training that we used for Kurapika being that they both did that training together!
