We have been building up to this moment for a while now, and the time has finally come.
We’re going to see The Most Powerful My Hero Academia Characters of All Time!
For this one I’m going to be cutting all My Hero Academia students from the list of the most popular BUT, I will name them in the honorable mentions if I think they deserved a spot on this list.
The reason I’m doing this is that I want to separate the two and allow us to build up to a list that is also strictly students before we combined the two.
That being said, we have built a workout inspired by every single character on this list of The Most Powerful My Hero Academia Characters below, and I have linked to each individually, as well as having it all set up within our My Hero Academia Inspired Workouts Database!
We just recently made a mini-database for our MHA Inspired Workouts within our Anime Workouts Database (which is obviously part of our much larger Workout Database); and it doesn’t seem like we’re slowing down on the MHA characters any time soon.
These listicles have been becoming more and more popular as well, and we’ve had some based on both power and popularity of the characters in which we use to build our routines.
Here’s some recent and fan-favorite listicles we’ve seen:
- The Most Powerful Anime Characters of All Time
- The Top Ranked My Hero Academia Pro Heroes
- The Most Powerful Dragon Ball Characters of All Time
- The Top Ten Most Popular Anime of All Time
That being said: there will be no bias based on my own personal favorite characters or which workout routines I think are the best. This will entirely be based around the characters powers in My Hero Academia and which are the most powerful.
For this I’ll also be doing research into other listicles and charts other sources have put together and account for what our Academy members think as well!
As always, leave your comments below if you were expecting other characters or even if you are excited for the students version of this list!
MOST POWERFUL MY HERO ACADEMIA CHARACTERS
Number Fifteen: Nine
Quirk: Weather Manipulation / All For One
Hero/Villain: Villain
Nine is specifically from My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising, which is the MHA movie.
His main Quirk: Weather Manipulation, is like Storm from X-Men, and allows him to do a ton of damage! On top of that he also has All For One and has Quirks such as: Air Wall, Scanning, Bullet Laser, Hydra, and Cell Activation.
So, if he wasn’t strong enough with his own Quirk (he is), just imagine how strong he is with all these others that he has been able to get his hands on!
Oh, and he is FIFTEENTH on the list; which means we’re only getting more powerful from here.
Nine at SHJ:
Number Fourteen: Gran Torino
Quirk: Jet
Hero/Villain: Hero
Gran Torino was a teacher at U.A. High School and also a mentor for both All Might and Deku.
His Quirk: Jet gives him super speed that even allows him to fly short distances and has him listed as one of the fastest heroes in the world.
On top of this Gran Torino also possesses immense strength and durability, and we’ve seen him use that strength and speed to knock out villains with super quick one-shot blows.
Gran Torino at SHJ:
Number Thirteen: Mirko
Quirk: Rabbit
Hero/Villain: Hero
Mirko is the strongest female character in My Hero Academia.
Not only is she the top ranked female hero in My Hero Academia, but she also surpasses some extremely powerful male characters (two of which we saw above, and many of which are not even going to be named on this list).
Her Quirk: Rabbit gives her enhanced strength, speed, agility and even high pain tolerance; making her an ultimate hero on this list, and top five among the ranked heroes in all of MHA (post All Might’s retirement).
Mirko at SHJ:
Number Twelve: Edgeshot
Quirk: Foldabody
Hero/Villain: Hero
After Mirko we actually have two more of the Top Ranked Pro Heroes in My Hero Academia making their way into the twelve and eleven slots before we see swap in and out of a wide range of heroes and villains.
First up is the fourth ranked hero (after All Might’s retirement): Edgeshot, whose Quirk: Foldabody allows him to make his body and limbs extremely thin and super long, which then enables him to transform himself into a razor-sharp string and essentially snipe enemies!
He can also move extremely quickly and fit through virtually and space.
Edgeshot at SHJ:
Number Eleven: Best Jeanist
Quirk: Fiber Master
Hero/Villain: Hero
Next up is Pro Hero Best Jeanist who is the third ranked pro hero in My Hero Academia after All Might’s retirement.
Best Jeanist’s Quirk: Fiber Master allows him to freely manipulate the threads in any nearby piece of fabric. Best Jeanist is actually so powerful with his Quirk we’ve even seen him use it to restrain All For One!
Best Jeanist at SHJ:
Number Ten: Hero Killer: Stain
Quirk: Bloodcurdle
Hero/Villain: Villain
Our second villain on the list of The Most Powerful My Hero Academia Characters is the Hero Killer: Stain!
Hero Killer: Stain is actually one of my favorite villains in the show because even though he doesn’t necessarily have Quirk like All For One or One For All to make him as strong and fast as All Might, he still comes out capable of fighting hand to hand with some of the strongest heroes.
On top of that he pairs it with his Quirk: Bloodcurdle perfectly, making him capable of incapacitating extremely powerful adversaries.
Hero Killer: Stain at SHJ:

Number Nine: Eraser Head
Quirk: Erasure
Hero/Villain: Hero
Eraser Head comes in as the ninth most powerful My Hero Academia character of all time and is the only hero on this list that is not part of the top five ranked pro heroes.
Eraser Head is the homeroom teacher of Class 1A at U.A. High School, and we’ve been lucky enough to see him fight a lot!
Not only is he extremely powerful, and we see this multiple times throughout the show, but he’s also a fan favorite; so don’t be surprised when he soars to the top of the list within our popularity listicle for My Hero Academia.
Eraser Head at SHJ:
Number Eight: Hawks
Quirk: Fierce Wings
Hero/Villain: Hero
Speaking of soaring to the top of lists: Hawks is the youngest [high] ranked pro hero and is ranked SECOND just behind Endeavor after All Might’s retirement.
We see him take on Nomus and even Hood (High End Nomu) along with Endeavor and his Quirk: Fierce Wings “allow him to fly, and he can telekinetically control the movement and nature of each individual feather with ease, enabling him to harden them into a blade-like state and/or shoot them as projectiles, as well as control their speed and trajectory.”
Hawks at SHJ:
Number Seven: Hood
Quirk: Muscle Augmentation, Super Regeneration, Shoulder-Mounted Jets, Transforming Arms, Power, Storage
Hero/Villain: Villain
Next up is High End Momu, also known as Hood.
Technically speaking the image shown above is just a rather strong Nomu; but as you can tell it’s going head to head with the most powerful My Hero Academia character of all time (spoiler alert).
Here’s how Nomu’s Wiki Fandom describes them: “The Nomu possess multiple Quirks and are designed to serve as mindless fighters. According to Doctor Garaki and All For One, there a few different grades of Nomu, and they’re categorized into Lower-Tier, Middle-Tier, Upper-Tier, Near High-End, and High-End according to their physical enhancements and the amount of Quirks they possess.”
Hood at SHJ:
Number Six: Gigantomachia
Quirk: Modified with: Endurance, Pain Blocking, Gigantification, Dog, Energy Efficiency, Tough Muscle, Mole
Hero/Villain: Villain
Gigantomachia is the biggest character we’ve ever seen at all of Superhero Jacked; and we’ve seen HUNDREDS of characters from all different universes within our Workout Database.
His modifications and Quirks give him immense strength, speed, durability, stamina, senses, and of course all to go along with that insane size that comes from the Gigantification Quirk.
Before Gigantomachia was ever modified he was still extremely strong and All For One’s personal bodyguard, which gives us just an idea how strong he really is with all his modifications.
Gigantomachia at SHJ:
Number Five: Overhaul
Quirk: Overhaul
Hero/Villain: Villain
Down to the top five, we have Overhaul as the first of a handful of villains who make the list.
Overhaul is extremely powerful and the Yakuza captain. His Quirk: Overhaul allows him to disassemble anything he touches, as well as reassemble it in any configuration he desires, effectively giving him full control over matter.
His Wiki Fandom also states: “In battle, Kai can freely manipulate his surroundings. He can modify the ground to maneuver himself and reshape the area into a state that is advantageous for him and harmful for his opponents. By touching his targets, he can completely blow their body apart, whether it be a limb or the entirety of it.”
Overhaul at SHJ:
Number Four: Tomura Shigaraki
Quirk: Decay / All For One
Hero/Villain: Villain
Tomura Shigaraki joins Overhaul as one of our newest MHA characters at SHJ strictly based on the fact that they’re not necessarily easy characters to build routines for (speaking more-so to their powers and abilities than their aesthetics in this case); but believe it or not Shigaraki turned out to be a huge success!
Tomura Shigaraki is not only a fan favorite, but he is also EXTREMELY powerful. He is the leader of The League of Villains after All For One (his master) was defeated and arrested, and he has Quirk: Decay AND All For One to back him.
With that Shigaraki has enhanced strength, speed, durability and stamina; making him super powerful – especially when you factor in his Quirk: Decay!

Number Three: Endeavor
Quirk: Hellflame
Hero/Villain: Hero
At number three we have our Top Ranked Pro Hero: Endeavor.
Endeavor was the second ranked pro hero for a long time prior to All Might’s retirement, but quickly proves his strength when he’s put to the challenge.
His Quirk: Hellflame allows him to produce and manipulate large amounts of extremely intense fire and goes hand-in-hand with his enhanced strength, durability, stamina and reflexes; making him a force to be reckoned with!
Endeavor at SHJ:
Number Two: All For One
Quirk: All For One
Hero/Villain: Villain
It should come as no surprise that All For One comes in at the number two slot with his Quirk: All For One giving him the capability to steal Quirks and wield more than a dozen (that we know of)!
He has gone head to head with All Might and has been able to stop his attacks with ease multiple times.
He is very clearly the most powerful villain, All Might’s arch nemesis, and former leader of The League of Villains (prior to be captured and Shigaraki taking over for him).
He may not be as popular as Shigaraki, but he definitely deserves his slot as the second most powerful My Hero Academia character of all time.
All For One at SHJ:
Number One: All Might (One For All Users)
Quirk: One For All
Hero/Villain: Hero
Also coming in as no surprise is All Might as our most powerful My Hero Academia character of all time.
I listed “One For All Users” next to his name because technically an argument could be made that being that his Quirk is passed down it’s really One For All that is giving the user the potential to take the first slot; as we will one day see Deku do.
That being said, All Might is the strongest and most powerful character and was ranked number one above Endeavor and the rest of the pro heroes on this list for years and years before his retirement came shortly after passing down One For All to Deku and him slowly losing his power (but not before taking out All For One!)
