We’re finishing up our Hunter X Hunter Inspired Workout spree this week with the last member of The Royal Guard!
We’ve already seen some assassins this week as well, but Shaiapouf closes out the Chimera Ant inspired workouts we wanted to prioritize.
Now we’ve seen Meruem, Neferpitou and Menthuthuyoupi joining Pouf – and have even surpassed enough Hunter X Hunter Inspired Workouts to warrant a mini-workout-database within our larger Anime Workouts Database.
On top of that we’ve even been able to add our Hunter X Hunter Workout Placement Quiz as well!
But I’m sure that’s not even the end of what we’ll see – and if I had my priority choice (I always prioritize the top requests that come in) we would have already seen a Razor Inspired Workout!

There’s no listed height for any of the Royal Guard, but fans guesstimate Shaiapouf to be close to 7′ tall!
Considering HxH proportions are all out of wack from scene to scene it really could be anything, but it’s a fun guess nonetheless!
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Shaiapouf Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Shaiapouf Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with our research we’re going to be pulling right from Shaiapouf’s Wiki Fandom page.
We already know he’s one of The Royal Guard, but we’ll reiterate a bit anyway, starting with what they give us for his bio section:
Shaiapouf, nicknamed Pouf, was a butterfly-humanoid Chimera Ant and one of the Chimera Ant King’s Royal Guards.
And strictly because The Royal Guards appearances are so different, we’ll also pull from his appearance section as well.
They break it down like this:
Unlike the other Royal Guards, Shaiapouf bore a more human resemblance. He looked like a young adult, with a tall and lanky frame, thistle purple skin, and short dark blond hair, covering up his forehead and ears. The only insect parts that Pouf had were his multi-colored butterfly wings and antennae. He wore a frilly white shirt, black pants and a pair of black shoes.
Being a Royal Guard we obviously know Shaiapouf is extremely powerful.
So while he has a lanky build, we’re still going to need to train to be strong.
His Wiki Fandom page talks about his overall powers and abilities with:
As a Royal Guard, Shaiapouf is one of the four most powerful Chimera Ants in Meruem’s colony. Colt believed him to be capable of defeating Chairman Netero, considered the world’s strongest Hunter in his prime and by some the most powerful Hunter even in his old age. Although Shaiapouf is endowed with superhuman strength and durability, his main weapons are his Nen abilities, the capacity to fly at high speed, and his aptitude for manipulation. Coupled with Beelzebub, his physiology allowed him to survive with only a fraction of his original body mass after donating 6/7ths of his cells to the King. However, this caused his power to drop considerably.
Yup! You read that right.
Cold believed him capable of beating Isaac Netero, who was listed as one of The Most Powerful Anime Characters of All Time!
They break down his individual abilities by telling us:
Flight: Shaiapouf’s butterfly genes grant him flight capabilities with the aid of his wings. He can fly at very high speed, which he can further enhance with aura.
Enhanced Strength: Shaiapouf was able to knock down Morel with a surprise kick, although he inflicted no significant damage. He also was confident that he would be able to kill Gon with a sneak attack. He broke several big rocks with ease, with a series of punches and kicks, as he was opening his way to see the King after Zeno’s Dragon Dive started to fall upon them.
Immense Speed: While flying, Shaiapouf is able to cover long distances within short periods of time. He is fast and agile enough to evade the aura shards from Zeno’s Dragon Dive. He was able to strike Morel from behind and take his giant pipe before the latter could react. It seems he can use his aura to accelerate.
Immense Stamina: Shaiapouf did not sleep at least for the whole week before the “Sorting,” and never showed any signs of fatigue.
Immense Durability: Shaiapouf managed to survive a head-on tail whip from Meruem, ending up with just a bruise and some bleeding on his face, while taking little damage from being sent crashing into a wall.
Well, we’re not going to be able to train to eventually fly – but we will be able to train for the rest!
That means while this training will keep us lean and slender like Shaiapouf, we’re also looking to train for strength, stamina and speed!
We’ll be using weight training paired with some endurance work for this one!

We’re going to be utilizing 3 days of strength training with a short run and then 2 days of longer endurance training that you can choose to alter to alternative endurance work if you’d prefer to not continue working on your running endurance.
